@jcmegabyte Hey thanks. I lived in SD 12 yrs and never saw a hummer close enough, till my last visit. I was able to stand next to him. Ohh I want more now! ;)
It is amazing to see how precisely they operate really a stunning animal which shows how powerful the nature really is. It is like he was standing in the Air.
Belive it or not, I just loaded the original file into Windows Movie Maker (6.0) which i use for all my video making/editing, and then published (rendered) it to 1280x720 at 5.9 Mb rate. The quality came out surprisingly decent. It really elps to have ideal lighting and focus in the original F1 clip. The upscaling looks much worse, the darker and grainier the original.
This is absolutely amazing. All of your videos are awesome. I should know i have spent many hours watching them ha. I really like the music as well. If you don't mind would you let me know either on here or on my page? What camera you are using and if you are using CHDK and if so what Script for motion detection and time lapse?
I am kinda new to CHDK and i made a couple time lapse vids but the video quality isn't to great on here. Also what program do you use to make the videos? Thanks, Jason
This footage is shot with a Casio EX-F1. It does 300, 600 and 1200fps but at fairly low resolutions.
CHDK only works with Canon cameras, so far as I know. I have used it successfully on a Canon SX10-is, S5-is, and an SD990. I use two scripts; "Ultra Intervalometer" and "Motion-D" (both downloaded from the CHDK site). There are probably newer versions than mine by now.
Most of my other processing apps/methods are proprietary or self-written/developed, and somewhat of a trade secret. :-)
They are indeed amazing to watch - moving so quickly that it makes me wonder if they perceive time differently than we do. Perhaps to them, flying and maneuvering at high speed is just like walking around to us. Nice to have the equipment to slow them down enough to see what they are doing! :-)
There have been plenty of Anna's HBs here, and many of them are likely the offsping of this summer's breeding pairs. Surprisingly, the Allen's females which were so fiesty all summer are still around, but nowhere near as dominant now. There are no more Allen's males or Black-Chinned males/females, but I did see that Costa's male again the other day. I would have though all but the year-round resident Anna's would have left by now, with temps into the upper 30's overnight now.
Really nice video ,which kind of camera used
