  • @joliemcrochet i dont know about that. youtube is mostly atheist.

  • @joliemcrochet hahaha yeah. i'm atheist and i love this song! :)

  • "I'm wet with salvation" is the most under-appreciated line in the show

  • This is so fucking amazing

  • i love inuendo

  • we just went all the waaaay! hahahah

  • Out of all the songs in the show, this one is the most awkward to listen to...

  • um...

  • Gosh this is the greatest show...

  • wtff ?

  • "EXCUSE ME, I-I NEED ANOTHER MINUTE!!" ROFL!

  • And then nothing sexual happened!

    Except for the sex.

    That was pretty darned sexual.

  • Alot of double entendres in this song, aren't there?? LOL

  • crazy religious people

  • I was wet with salvation at the age of 11. Now at 24, my wetness of salvation has been removed from the membership records.

  • I could imagine steve harveys reaction if he was in the audience.

  • Wait, is this a song about baptism or love making?

  • @dreemaze Baptism but sounding like love making!

  • @SazVlogs i think that was intentional to add to the humor. double entendre

  • @SazVlogs Ya, I should have put a "/s" cause I was being sarcastic :P

  • i think i want this to be my wedding song

  • The 9 dislikes are mormons

  • His giddy laugh at the beginning just kills me. Lol

    <3

  • EXCUSE ME I'M GONNA NEED ANOTHER MINUTE!!!!!!!!

  • love it

  • Subtext?

  • I like the play for what it is...a play. The singing that these two display is wonderful. I have not seen the play, but I have seen the awards ceremony, and she was excited ,so it made me want to hear her and see the play.

  • @Quasi27606 It's not a play.

  • @Lucy97R Musicals are plays.

  • @drumlip no their not, plays are like Shakespeare's "MacBeth", Musicals are better for one, and like this, when they break out into song to express their feelings. but then there are Plays with music which is more like in the plays they perform songs as part of the story line. You now are educated about this, so now you can stop spreading around extremely FALSE INFORMATION

  • @TheTimrhodes93 Okay.

  • I like the play for what it is...a play. The singing that these two display is wonderful

  • 9 people never got baptized and never will. :P

  • i'm mormon, this isn't offensive haha

  • Favourite song in the whole soundtrack. XD

  • I'M WET WITH SALVATION! best line of the whole song

  • wut's sex haha lololol

  • i am not mormon but i love the songs :D

  • @yowatsup611 if you were mormon you would most likely be incredibly offended by these songs lol

  • @ohhsade actually I know lot of mormons and they all find these funny..

  • What is this? : )

  • If you replace the word "baptize" with "fuck," the song still makes sense. Obvious, but so true and so funny.

  • Fyi, if they did have sex, he would get AIDS. Haha great riff on Barry White!

  • @withalittlehelpfrom3 It's stated in Hasa Diga Eebowai that she doesn't have AIDS.

  • @EpicFaerietale In the time since I made that comment, I have bought this album and basically memorized the lyrics. I made a terrible error! But even if they did get AIDS, they could cure it by sleeping with a frog.

  • WHAT THE FUCK AM I LISTENING TOO

  • @yellowklayman YES, YOU ARE!

  • @yellowklayman the best musical ever

  • @yellowklayman Yeah, but what the fuck am I reading while I listen TO this song?

  • @yellowklayman the best fucking song ever....

  • Ridiculous.

  • He could have drowned her at the end, lol, btw i wasn't baptized that way

  • The casting for the girl was great ,she sounds so sweet and sincere

  • i saw the show it was so funny

  • 2:08 is my favorite part.

  • @redfreks U wanna baptize me? I'd luva get wet in that dalvation of yours.

  • 7 people aren't wet with salvation yet.

  • @Stairc its something i study over and over again at mission control center

  • Oh dear lord, this is brilliant. Just... brilliant. SO MUCH double entendre, this is amazing.

  • 7 people haven't been baptized

  • Salvation. She's wet with it. XDDD

  • ... I'll text you later

    AWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!! :D

  • do you think Trey Parker and Matt Stone look at the arguments and slander posted on these videos and chuckle to themselves? Or maybe they solemnly shake their heads at what an angry world we live in.

  • what innuendo, theres no innuendo in this song, inandoutunenndo maybe, but no innuendo.

  • Golly, Redfreks. Mormons don't believe in burning in hell, or hell at all (hell and "outer darkness" are not synonymous.) Sounds like you don't know your own religion as well as you think you do. Do you mean "stagnate in the Telestial Kingdom?" This song is a funny take on the ways in which religious conversion and erotic seduction are closer to each other than one generally thinks. As one of the characters says in the play at one point "what are you f**king stupid? It's a metaphor!"

  • Comment removed

  • @redfreks Oh, I'll burn alright. :D

  • @redfreks Right... so you're joking right? Its supposed to be a metaphor for fucking. Its more of a theatrical thing really, not about arbitrary rules.

  • @redfreks burn in what

  • I'm crying. I can't stop laughing.

  • 31,730 is not enough views.

  • I always let out a little aww whenever I hear them both sing, "And I'm so glad you're about to be my first."

  • That was quite sweet actually.

  • Every song on broadway can sound similar to another. So the people saying its spoofed gain some knowledge on broadway because what your saying is pure ignorance.

  • @ThePrice8 I think The Book of Mormon is coming to West End in 2012.

  • Brought me to tears when I saw

  • Now I KNOW the origin of the phrase: "The Missionary Position." Brilliant.

  • Now replace "Baptize" with "Fuck"

  • I'M WET WITH SALVATION

  • I AM WET WITH SALVATION

  • Wow. Only the creators of South Part could make baptism a metaphor for sex.

  • @DaUziel they could also make the virgin Mary bleed from her ass. Because they did.

  • haha!!! They are singing about babtizing like they are about to have sex for the first time...!!! Ahaha I NEED to see this!!! :)

  • @musicaltheatergirl12 Yeah, we got it.

  • @RCCola339 haha Ik i'm stupid like that....allways pointing out the obvious... I swear...I am a dumb blonde.

  • Ahahahahahahaha. The exact hilarious double entendre that Parker and Stone do SO WELL.

  • 6 People are not wet with salvation

  • Love the satire..love it

  • Has anyone else noticed that the planet that God lives on in Mormon teachings is called Kolob and when written backwards it spells Bolok!

  • @BigWhiteTiger1 "Never Mind The Boloks! Here Are The Mormons!"

  • 6 people are still wet with salvation.

  • what song is this based off of?

  • @Eldytho not every song they did was spoofs

    You & Me- Wicked

    Hasa Diga Eebowai- Lion King

  • @thomashester2 I Believe- Sound of Music

  • @musicandLYRICs141 what song from sound of music

  • @thomashester2 I Have Confidence. Where he says "what's so scary about that" it's the same tune as it! :D

  • @musicandLYRICs141 i just heard it & it totally was based off sound of music

  • @Eldytho to me, it sounds like The Lamest Place in the World from 13

  • @xoitsanniexo While I think the concept of Hasi Diga Eebowai is a Lion King knock off, the tune is hardly even close to reminiscent to Hakuna Matata.

  • @NEWdumbich123455432 it's supposed to be a direct knock off of Hakuna Matata... and clearly is.

  • @elsephen You didn't listen to any of what I said with that response.

  • @NEWdumbich123455432 Sure I did. The tune is hardly reminiscent to Hakuna Matata?

  • @tazal5011 yeah. I had forgotten which I was on. haha

  • what song is this a rip off of?

  • I spread gods glory all over a chicks face earlier tonight.

  • I'll text you later. (BEST LINE IN ANY SONG EVER!!!!!)

  • They went to Salt Lake City because that's where the "Mother Ship" is. Woo-Hoo go back to Kolob.

  • im wet with salvation! we just went all the way...

  • I rarely say this, but OMG! :P

  • I want to see this musical, but my dad is super Catholic and gets offended by almost every single song from Avenue Q, so my dad would have stormed out by Hasa Diga Eebowai.

  • 5 people weren't baptized

  • Get a life! All religions are offensive ... and need to lighten up when they get poked at. I mean -- we're talking about a religion founded by an ex-roman catholic with multiple wives.

  • This is my favorite song from the musical. I almost wrecked my car when I heard it for the first time. I NEED TO SEE THIS SO BAD.

  • hmmm i'm wet with salvation? i think this song may be a double entendre hahah

  • I wanna be a mormon!!!!.. at the missionary control center

  • I wanna be a mormon!!!!..

  • this HAS to come to the U.K

  • @harryanguss Don't know if it will work in the UK...i'd love it to come! But the mormon references might land dead on a british audience!

  • @MusicAndTheMirror My mother is christened a moron and shes is from the UK. Everyone in the UK that would appreciate this would go and see it, and trust me there are shit tons of us lol

  • Since no one has blatantly said it, I will: they sound like they're going to have sex. :D you're welcome.

  • @TheCornSplosion quite...indeed

  • @TheCornSplosion Ya think?

  • @TheCornSplosion That's kind of the whole point, dear. :)

  • hehe mission control center

  • im wet with salvation

  • This musical is so offensive!!!

*Searches for the LIKE button* :D

  • @TRASHYgah why? explain.

  • @TRASHYgah lol this makes being a mormon funny as fuck

  • okay about ten songs and im convinced and just bought it on itunes...

  • this is funny i cant wait till nxt year when it come to uk

  • Haha I friggin love his laugh it's so nervous and weird

  • I was baptized as a baby by a very old decrepit priest.

I now found the idea of it being "sexy" traumatizing..

  • @Ogdo17

I'm mormon too, but I love this play. You just have to have the sense of humor to laugh at yourself and not take this play too seriously. With that point of view this play becomes incredibly funny. :)

  • @Ogdo17 I take it you guys don't subscribe to the whole "Judge not lest ye be judged" thing then.

Come on, this song is hilarious.

  • @Ogdo17 so others dont care about their religion? how do you know? im not a mormon and i most certainly care about my religion. i want to know what proof you have that mormons are the only ones who believe in their religion

  • @katiehawk94 Your religion isn't the only church that takes pride in its bedtime stories my friend. And thank god you can take yourselves seriously because you're the only ones that do. Oh and the fail troll is fail.

  • @PVreviews but they arent just "bedtime stories" they're real, i believe them. and i never said that my religion was the only ones who tke it seriously but when you say mormons are the only ones who do i get a little ticked because its not true.

and whattaya mean by "fail troll"? im not following.

  • @Ogdo17 ooh i can see that stick up your ass does it hurt?

  • This, ladies and gentlemen, is what we call double entendre...

  • This song has such a smooth bass line. Moments of Jorgenson everywhere. I'm laughing so hard.

  • this is fucking hilarious!

  • MORDOR!

  • 1 person is a mormy who cant laugh at himself.

  • 1 person is a mormy who cant laugh at himself.

  • The following (very important) words were not included here:

"(Insert name here), having authority given me of Jesus Christ, I baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen."

That's actually in the Book of Mormon (3 Nephi 11:23-27).

  • @skidawg22 But.. no one cares.

  • funny, cause its an allegory for having sex. ;)

  • @xCoolCatTryHardx No way, cause without you I wouldn't have ever realized.

    -_-
