@farooh20, assalumalikum has nothing to do with being Iranian..how did you work that one out. It's a greeting used by Muslims all over the world. Titli is mashallah a Muslim sister
I really like your videos - you explain things really well and always make me laugh as well, thanks! Oh and oswiu1 is right about the red cabbage - the acid of the pickle goes really well with the sweetness of the lamb!
It's ages since I had hotpot, the potato slices are usually called scollops in Lancashire. Its usually served with huge spoonfuls of pickled beetroot and/or pickled red cabbage, also plenty of bread to soak up the gravy.
Assalamu-alikum, Thanks for this dish, I'm from Manchester and i've never had the chance to try this, so will make this sometime soon. 'super, lovely, smashin, great, lol
I've noticed in some of your videos that you brown/cook your meat before seasoning it. Do you think it makes a different if we season the meat before cooking or not?
Walaikum Salaam! I thoroughly enjoy your recipes and the humor you add to it :) You're so carefree and colorful, just like a real Titli :) This aftrenoon I made your Lentil Loaf recipe and it was welcomed by my otherwise carnivore king of a brother......Thanks Titli!
@BlatentlyBooshified I knew someone would ask this :-) Yes, but cook it for longer if you want the beef to be tender - at least 3 hours. And don't call it Lancashire Hot Pot anywhere near someone from Manchester :-)
Wa alaikumusalaam. Brilliant video! :)

Great video. You don't seem to use much seasoning?
lenolith1980 6 months ago
@lenolith1980 Seasoning is about personal choice. I'm happy if people to use this recipe as a starting point and season as much as they wish.

wathepoint 1 year ago
@wathepoint It depends on how fatty your meat is. I used lean cuts of lamb.
