  • Judy at Carnegie Hall I my favorite album... Every time I listen to it I have to listen to it from the first song till the end... In order there is no other way... She sounds amazing an I love all her stories...

    This is a great interview!!!

    Love Judy

  • Were there lots of gay men in attendance? I wonder...judging from the photo..?

  • Judy's voice will Always BE...Beautiful. Thanks, Judy

  • "Judy At Carnegie Hall" is PURE JOY, SIMPLE JOY....

  • The single greatest night in entertainment history. I think everyone, even today's big "stars", know it.

    They all know it.

  • Judy did conquer Broadway, btw. In 1951. She resurrected vaudeville (and her own career) by breaking all records and she won a Tony for it.

    Judy owned Broadway fool.

  • This is Great to hear. Thank You!

  • Wonderful as always! :)

  • I only wish we had video footage for this concert.Judy not only used her voice but her body, face and great acting ability to convey a song.Oh well,at least we have what we have and what we have is magnificent

  • Holy Crap. This is like Holy Ground.

Nobody that ever lives will ever be able to touch this particular concert, this live concert.

  • Thank you for posting this. I love Judy Garland and listening to her sing and converse.

  • She really deserved the Grammys she won for that album!

  • Yes she did! This concert was a BRAVO +++

  • Absolutely!

  • @shnooger I wish I could like your comment 1,000 times!

  • Great editing....and I loved seeing the footage from I Could Go On Singing!

  • Thanks for sharing yet another rare and wonderful glimpse into the magnificent talent that is Judy Garland. After hearing this, I now must go back and listen to the album again (sad to say I've only listened to it once in it's entirety)! BTW, I'd like to mention that TCM will be showing 'I Could Go On Singing' this Wednesday the 13th. I have yet to see this movie so I'm really excited! Hopefully I don't forget... :-)

  • Thank you, Michelle for sharing this with us ~ I don't believe I've ever heard this interview before and it's wonderful to hear her in good spirits ~ her career as an adult was surely on an upswing at this point, is that fair to say? She was doing Gay-Puree, a TV special which led to her weekly show, and I COULD GO ON SINGING - do most fans agree or was the real "turning point" the Carnegie Hall Concert?

  • Judy had so many Grand Moments in her career, I'm not sure I can choose 1 as a turning point. She conquered every stage, except Broadway. In Part 2 of this interview. she talks about that a bit. It's interesting. Stay tuned.

  • Just hearing her voice, brings back, this most amazing, most talented, legend back to life!

    Very well done!

  • Yes it does! I'm so grateful to all who have preserved these moments!

  • Please listen to John's video response! Stormy Weather, as sung by Judy at Carnegie Hall. The photos on this video ARE RARE! Some you don't even see anymore!

  • OMG was that a concert and album and a come back!!!

I got the album as a gift and loved it and learned most of the songs.

  • This is one of my favorite interviews with Judy.Listening to her talk about that nite ... the audience ... the songs ... such a special moment in music history.

Thanks for watching. A few more PARTS to come on this.

  • That Carnegie Hall concert was a magical evening and it translated to the grammy winning album.

  • Michele, this was great! You make excellent presentations of rare material on Judy. Great graphics and editing with a very good quality audio recording of another rare interview. Thanks so much for posting this!

  • Thanks for this...I already have a copy of this interview but the quality is not as good so thanks again for uploading it .

  • Michele, this is excellent! I enjoyed this a lot. This is one of the audio tapes I have that I mentioned to you-I believe it was called "Make Believe Ballroom." You put everything together in a great way, presented it very well. This kind of stuff of Judy's needs to be preserved and shared with the world, thanks for doing that! Bravo!

  • Thanks! This interview is not well known ... I thought it should be. More to come on it. Just to hear the background & creation of some of the songs is wonderful! ... Carnegie Hall was such a historic moment ... the world does need to see & hear the impact that Judy has had.

    'New World Productions' SMILE.

The audio on this was HARD. Got it cleared the best I could. Not too bad considering the original. I appreciate the acknowledgment of what I want to do ... for Judy.
