The term "best" needs to stop being used when it comes to guitar players or musicians in general. Because somebody plays faster doesn't make them better than others. This guy plays some cool stuff but is he better than Jack Pearson(who lives in N'ville)? F*ck NO!!!

@salomon9595 Before playing guitar was so glamorous, before every kid on the block wanted to be a rock star and make large sums of money while doing something that is way fun. At times there was a best guitar player such as Hendrix of course, and Les Paul(SRV also in my opinion). Nobody can deny that because during their time there wasn't as much competition. Now theres no possible way to be the best guitar player because theres always somebody better popping over your shoulder.

We LOVE this guy and this band! When we saw them last year JD looked like a young Jimmy Page with the sideburns and the black velvet jacket. My wife and I were so blown away by his unbelievable playing we couldn't leave the place until they were done for the afternoon ( that's right..afternoon!). And it was FREE to get in! Around here you couldn't see a band of this caliber for less than a $20 cover. You folks in Nashville and Memphis are LUCKY!

Best in Nashville???? NO...Johhny Hiland ,Brent Mason, Scott Tweeten,Vince Gill, Larry Carlton ,Larry Garvin, Kenny Vaughan, Jack Pearson all live in Nashville...so the answer is no he is not the best in Nashville.

Have seen J.D. many times and he's always impressive. While he is flashy, I would suggest you check out Rich Gilbert who plays with The Silver Threads. I think J.D. would probably defer to him. Don Kelly always showcases some hot guitar players, but J.D. has stuck around awhile (thankfully).
