I hear similar sound at my audi when turning to the left. the sound comes more from front right. The pump is more front left. I am not sure if it's the pump or something about suspension.
steering wheel fluid.. i had the same problem.. went based off of this video and trust my instincts.. checked my steering wheel fluid reservoir and sure enough it was empty :) 8 dollar fix at local autozone. :)
maybe you need to replace your steering rack and outer tire rods
