  • W ColdPlay!!! Good music!

  • Check my flight out too flying is ftw .

    watch?v=AAPqek0Q8lA

  • I fly this all the time in flight simulator 2004 :)

  • its a shame cessna did not make 172s that had room for the pilot to stand up. At least then you would be able to use a toilet. do they make in flight urination system with electronic vacums built into flying suits

  • @210482fmj That made me laugh...They're just like cars. They're not space shuttles or fighter jets lol.

  • What a Beautiful plane that is what is the year it was made?

  • @Littleuncle07 probably in 1996

  • This is a great video...superior in all ways.

  • very nice

  • 5 people cant afford a cessna :p

  • Pretty sure Volkswagen Jetta people.

  • @motokid032 actually the pilot owns a beamer

  • Buen video, y buen aterrizaje. Saludos desde Córdoba

  • what cancorder did you use?

  • @RafappeSD take a look at the tags. i'm sure you'll find the answer to your request!

  • @Yardieboss Expensive. You work in the film industry?

  • @Yardieboss Worng.......Beechcraft Bonanza

  • @EXVITEL01 right, should have thought for a sec longer before i posted it ;)

  • @airflow45 beat me to it... But yes, it is a bonanza. Not a cherokee.

  • How much is a new Cessna 172? Im looking for a range between 5,000 to about 20,000.

  • @A7X172 lol dude your looking at about 150,000 usd new and about 60,000 usd used

  • @Poisonousization22 Hmm thats okay actually...

  • I didn't hear him say "Clear Prop" or do a run up to check mags before takeoff.

  • @Psyche777able In germany you signalize the "clear prop" with the beacon light only and you didn't saw the run up check because at 2:48 is a cut.

  • Felix great flying!

Question : what brand of sunglasse are those, name, and where can i purchase a pair, id like to get a pair of those for myself while im flying :]

    thnks, happy landings!

  • @Torradadd It's a pair of Polo sunglasses, I bought the in Dusseldorf, Germany;)

  • if cessna 172s were produced at the rate of say a ford fiesta then they would drop in price rapidly. in order for the price of flying to drop rapidly to that of a family car we need make it more availible to the masses. the fact of the matter is that most roads are big enough to accomodate micro airplane for takeoff. alot of fuel is beign wasted on uneccesary car journeys which could be used on aircraft for families to own that could cross the atlantic via iceland and greenland for fuel stops

  • What is there starting up at around 1:35 ?

I think you activated the Battery.

    Sincerely

  • @MegaNamenlos It's the gyro's.

  • its a cessna 172, fixed pitch propeller, and fixed undercarriage and that was a hot start...i'm flying one of this at my school here in fiji...trying to get a CPL -license...thank you for the video....but you should remember to put one hand on the throttle at all times....flying is all about safety.

  • it would be interestign to see experimental aircraft built from plastic. these days we have high tech plastic that is so strong and capable of with standign high tempreture. obviously the engine would not be made from plastic but the airframe and wings could be. Maybe electric plastic long range gliders capable of high speed are the future. with this in mind it puts us one step closer to being able to cross the atlantic without large amoounts of fuel required.

  • Wo hast du denn deine Ausbildung gemacht? Schönes video...

  • Well done, good job mate.

  • How old was the pilot? He looks like he's only 16 or 17. Beautiful footage by the way

  • Yeah at 2:33 that most certainly not a Piper Archer that was a Beechcraft Bonanza V35

  • 2:33 what aircraft was that?

  • @JTelli786 Actually it's a Beechcraft Bonanza V35. Cherokee's don't come retractable gear and with v-tails.

  • @JTelli786 it was a piper but not a cherokee i think it was a V35

  • @JTelli786 no it was a beech bonanza V35

  • @JTelli786 its actually a beechcraft Bonanza

  • Nice clip!

(Anyway I miss the most part of the landing ;))

  • Waw the best video on YouTube!!! I like to fly as an C172 pilot!

  • I fly one of this on my own from Discovery flight lesson and take off my own and land back at KHHR man this lesson cost way too much for me dam any way have a good one over there.

  • Why there is no full approach on vid? :( Like it anyway :D

  • Amazing .. i love this plane !

  • dont film the landing!!

  • shalom very nice video thanks !!!!!!!

  • Mixture cutoff on startup??????

  • looks really fun

i should get one of these ;)

  • Hey aren't you not supposed to push the mixture first before cranking the plane, and also did you even do your ran up before you take off?

  • danke für dieses video :) mehr davon

  • germany vladislav XD

  • very nice!

  • nice flying

  • ..nettes viideo....oder auch "Thermik in HD"... ;-)

  • Thanks for your sharing!

    Great!

  • @186771054

Ja, it is recommended procedure for cold start in direct fuel injection systems, like the 172 S, R etc.

  • Excellent video dude, but the camera is unstable!

  • I kept trying to zoom out like in FSX lol

  • hammer video:))))

  • Great video. Thanks for sharing it.

  • deutschland!!

  • Great video brother. What year is that plane? Looks like maybe a '99 or '00? Good quality. Looks like a lot of fun.

  • I wish you could mute the music if you want to. It should be optional.

  • What Program you use to Edit This Video ?

  • hold the oil gauge upright homie

  • @lilgogohead: hold the oil gauge upright homie.

JM: I noticed that too about the dip-stick. Why do they make those things so hard to read? You'd think they could have improved on that by now.

  • how do you like those lightspeed headsets?

  • WOW.. love the high quality of this vid... nice preflight check.. cheers~

  • 1. schönes Video!

  • nice pane. you fkying in denmark?

  • No, I'm flying in Germany.

  • Beautiful video. FLY!

  • Hallo Felix,

  • It's fuel injected thats for sure. Also I completely love how the panel is much much cleaner and looks more new and stylish than the ones I have been flying. Of course the dials are the same but its's something that makes you think fresh and new about this plane.

  • Yeah exactly, when i started training, it was in a 1978 c172, and then i went right in a g1000, totally awesome man.

  • Hand aufs Herz....

    Habt ihr den Anflug abgebrochen?

  • gooou exelnet el the pares the move is cessna 172 exelents

  • your videos are great but please take the music off

  • why the musik off ?

  • Is it standard operating procedure to start enginge with mixture out for you guys? I've been taught to have mixture rich during engine start, or did you guys have any special reason?

  • Hey it was a hot/ warm start. The plane just came in so the engine was already hot.

  • Ah! I see. Nice video :-)

  • @Yardieboss may i ask what is the total range of the 172 with full fuel and full load?

  • @Yardieboss Yeah, I thought that was different too, I was more concerned with the fact that the engine hit 1500rpm when starting, thats really hard on the oil filter. Nice video though, what kind of camera were you guys using?

  • The special reason for starting with mixture off is that the engine uses the "modern" way of fuel injection;)

The way you descibe is the starting procedure of a carburator-engine.

  • exactly what FlyingCommander said, i fly 172N that have carburetor so mixture is rich, but i believe this is a 172R(might be mistaken) which is fuel injected.

  • I have seen this once before in a video from america on youtube. but throughout my training and my flying in my homecountry Iceland you put the mixture full forward and throttle open 1/4 inch. You never start with the mixture out.

It ain't like that in the checklist I have.

  • Yeah and Flyingcommande/braziliannutts explained that :) That's quite a lot of throttle, I usually only give one or two centimeters tops. :-)

  • 1/4 of an inch is less than a centimeter. Twist brumm brumm and 1000 rpm and check oil pressure and temperature immediately. lol

  • Haha ah I thought I've read 1/4 of power setting :-D

  • @saevaroa: Did you notice that this is a 172 SP without carburator ? The SP you always start with mixture in lean position and you push it in once the engine starts. In case of carburator engine, you have to start with mixture at full rich position.

  • I did not know that. I have never flown anything other than carburator engines. But you learn as you go.

  • @186771054

You are right. For the Cessna 172 (carburetor) you always start with mixture at full rich position. There is no 'warm start' defined for this model.

Only for the Cessna SP (non carburetor) you start with mixture at lean position.

I think this here was just a mistake, he found out and corrected it by applying full rich - that's when the engine finally started. ;O)

  • @186771054 It is fuel injected and that is why you do it like this. I am used to the same as you but this plane is different.

  • @186771054 It is normal to have full mixture during engine start for carburated engines (older planes).

  • @186771054 There is a special reason as a matter if fact. The type of cessna show in the video was most likey between a 97' and a 99'. Although that doesn't matter that much, 172's from 97' and up are fuel injected and that's how the check list works is to have the mixture out till the engine starts then pushi it in immiately after.

  • @186771054 its standard for me until the engine ignitors start poping the mixture is out

  • @186771054 Its an electronically fuel injected engine, you start it the the mixture cut every time as far as I know. The older planes you start full rich.

  • @186771054 This is a fuel injected 172, I'm assuming that you fly a carburated one. On fuel injected engines you start with the mixture lean, and enrich as soon as the engine starts. That is standard for this plane.

  • @186771054 Most fuel injected airplanes start like this.

  • deutsche Piloten sind das Beste

  • @186771054 You are correct if starting a Skyhawk with a carburetor. The new Skyhawks are fuel injected and have a different starting procedure (as soon in the footage). From what I remember, turn the fuel pump on, mixture rich until rise in fuel flow, mixture cut off, turn key, when engine fires push the mixture in.

  • Beautiful footage and great editing as well!! 5*****

  • nice video...what program do you make movie in?

  • nice flying! ;)

  • nice vid! schön gemacht ;)

  • Nice video, Felix! Was quite surprised when I saw the D-ESAD in a YouTube video. :)

  • Hammer Video!!!

    5*

  • top! mehr! :-)

  • Very well done!!!

    Making this video was fun!

  • Nice vide!
