  • All I can say is: WOW, AMAZING!!!!!!

  • Would it be possible for a woman gymnast to do a gaylord 1 or 2 or kovac on the higher bar? Has anyone ever tried or done it?

  • strength and beauty

  • 0:40 lovely slow-mo

  • who the fuck would dislike this?!?!

  • this should be used more nowadays..

  • Priakhina always did insane skills... miss her

  • wow! I thought that the girl at 2:12 was going to fall

  • They look like Dolls that can Bend anyway.. o.o But its Pretty Amazing.

  • 0:16 love it! :O

  • not to offend any gymnist out there but gymnastics back then to me was alot more difficult and unique.. but ofcorse i'm not a gymnist only a fan of it so i can't really say but it looks harder back then..

  • Im an icedancer and I my muscles still hurt when I watch this XD a triple lutz has nothing on this XD

  • Really regretting the decision I made to quit.

  • I do gymnastics as well, i watched this and my jaw still open... WOW, awesome... although i will never do such thing since i'm a guy u know what i mean...

  • hi i am a gymnast and i think this vid is awwwwwweeeeeesssssooooommmmmeeeeee hehe

  • Aye seriously why doesn't anyone do this any more.

  • I miss these amazing moves...especially the mounts!

  • why do they keep the coaches hovering around them?

  • Have they downgraded the gaylord to discourage gymnasts from completing it?

  • MostepanovaFan i love your videos you have some of the best montages ever thanks!!!!!! :D

  • Beyond Physics.

  • at 1:17, did they spell Khorkina's name wrong?

  • @makT890 yeppp they did!

  • Why are people not doing these kind of moves nowadays I wonder... It would be even more exciting to watch artistic gymnastic if they entered like 0:12. Same thing on the beam and floor.

  • @Lasiluuranko It's because now they do harder tricks in their routine,so now they have to save their stamina so they can do them...if they do harder tricks in the beggining they wont have enough energy in the middle and end...but thats just my oppinion

  • @Lasiluuranko look sure its cooler thats way but its really hard to enter that way belive me i do gymnastics

  • @Lasiluuranko Cause the cool mounts aren't worth anything anymore

  • I dont care about the routine these girls are hot!

  • 2:13 pose. beauty.

  • women gymnasts... best women in the world in every way!!

  • What's the element at 1:36 (in slow motion) called? I've watched that about 10 times now and I just can't tell what the hell is going on. These ladies are ninjas! Tiny ninjas in leotards!!!

  • @BellaCroix its called a counter kim.

  • @Quie8 Well it's amazing... I've watched it enough times to realize it's probably a pretty basic release (technically) but to watch it... absolutely amazing! I still stand by my initial thought that these ladies are ninjas.

  • What's the very first move called?

  • @KATEisFAB comaneci salto

  • at 3:11 was that a triple or quad twist???

  • at 3:11 was that a triple or quad twist???

  • Both a Ray and a jam are D's.

  • What's the official name and difficulty of the skill at 2:39?

  • Comment removed

  • who does an 1,5 twist 1:45?

  • Dasha Joura has competed the clear hip 1.5: watch?v=sP6uzpgI3EU

  • 1:38 what is that move called?

  • @shannonphipps counter kim after kim gwang suk

  • 1:55 that's my shawn! (:

  • some strong ladies right there

  • How come they don't do the round off mount on the bars anymore?

  • @Katbee1 There are some people that can still do it but that move is extremely difficult and it really favours the tiny girls which means physically not everyone could do it

  • awsome bars skills

  • Maybe you can answer me this question. What is it called when the gymnast is on the high bar in a handstand position and she turns? Sometimes they turn once, sometimes only half a turn. It's hard to explain and it's really bugging me.

  • @BeachBunny13 I think you're talking of pirouettes.

  • @goodyougetastar Thanks!

  • @BeachBunny13 You're welcome. :)

  • @BeachBunny13 It's called a pirouette :-)

  • they did some crazy tricks back then ha

  • i love where people do the roundoffs onto the spring board for their mount or whatever its called for bars haha :D its so amazing!

i was in gymnastics for a long time but i broke both my ankles so yea that was the end of that XP

  • @M1G34 :( sad story u got there

  • @DamarisTLIBFF yea no kidding.. i wanna go back to gymnastics soo badly ):

  • Could you edit the video and make it available on portable (mobile) devices... Please and thank you. The option is in the edit video page under "sharing"... Thanks for the great videos

  • Triple flyaway??? Who did those?

  • @theblinddonkey Shantessa Pama...she quit gymnastics a few years ago but was incredibly talented.

  • @fun2beAgymnast thanks. I checked her out, she seems fearless.

  • haha. they spell khorkina wrong at 1:17

but this is amazing. awesomeee. uneven bars and beam is my favorite!

  • holy

    fucking

    shit

  • Can anyone explain how to tell the difference between all the pirouettes?

  • Search for "uneven bars pirouette guide" in this channel

  • The thing is that I don't understand the difference between L grip or whatever other grips there are

  • Oh, well

There's the regular grip, used for backward swings, just put your hands in front of you, palms down

Reverse grip you put your hands in regular grip and twist 180º to the inside, done for forward swings

L grip is like the reverse, but you twist 180 to the outside, if you do it in any high bar you'll fell your shoulders twisted

Mix grip is in arm in one grip and the other in another, exemple: one in L the other in reverse...

  • Okay, got it. Thanks a lot!

  • Oh, great, 'cause it's tuff to expain through texts, haha

Try these on one of those bars for stretching, it's very interesting

  • Lol, I don't do bars cos it's difficult for my body shape and size. My coach let me off cos I always seem like I'm gonna cry when he makes me do them. Since I only compete in team events and we have enough people, I was allowed to focus on my other events xD

  • Are you Alicia Sacramone? haahha, kidding

  • Who's the gymnast at 3:04?

Thanks for yet another amazing montage, Mostepanovafan!

  • all i know that she is from ukraine sorry :)

  • Actually, that helped alot, I found out it was Anastasia Koval.

  • Ahh I've never seen an overshoot with a 1.5 twist. Very cool.

  • it is a deduction if you get helped, but that also just could of been in warm up..

  • 0:09 Is it allowed for the coach to help the gymnast while doing her routine?

  • He hardly helped her. He just spotted her.

  • amazing

  • triple dismount is awesome. I wonder why more gymnast don't use?

  • 3:28 WOW ! It looks weird !

  • Okay maybe it's just me, and the video is amazing I know nothing about gymnastics so I applaud everyone who can, but uhh who are the people to complain people from the Chinese team for the 2008 olympics weren't the right age when some of these girls on these teams look like freakin 10 year olds!

  • Because the 16-years-old rule is pretty new. At the times in which some of these were filmed, the girls were legal to compete.

  • were do u do ur show? i do my at Kelvin Hall

  • The song is Girls on film by Girls Aloud

  • wow this is amazing

i got my flyaway today but compared to all this thats nothing

  • bars has always been my favorite to do.......i can do a back tuck off the top bar...it took me like 6 months to actually land and get it to look good..

  • 1 word... AWSOME!

  • its awesome!!

  • could you please make a guide on pirouttes and turns for uneven bars. THANK YOU!

  • XD geinger with a full twist hahah awesome

  • i love your montages. whats the name of this song?

  • The song is a cover of Duran Duran's Girls on Film. Have no idea who sings it but go find the original version of Duran Duran. It's 1000 times better.

  • who does the triple back dismounts?

  • They were both Shantessa Pama

  • cool, is she an elite gymnast yet? cuz she looks kinda small like a junior.

  • i love the releases. they r so hard to get! yu try over and over again and yur fingers touch the bar but yu r just a little bit off! oh it used to drive me nuts...i also loved the mounts where they flipped over the low bar to the high bar.

  • I am lvl 7 and I'm not tht good at bars! It's amazing how these people can do all of these hard skills!

  • At 3:30 wow triple back! This is an awesome video! It must have taken forever to find all of this footage!

  • It's montages like this that make you realize how boring an event bars has become these days. Where are the gaylords? The difficult mounts?

  • WOW! I can barely follow some of these moves because of quickness and intricacy.

  • What difficulty in the COP would german giants be??? would have thought its immensely difficult to swing inverted, you dont see many gymnasts doing them, certainly women anyway except (I cant think of her name but she Ukranian!)

  • Thank you so much MostepanovaFan, I really enjoyed you videos

  • 0:10 THE COACH TOUCHED THE GYMNAST! Did she lose points there?

  • no cuz you can have help from your coach

  • but then u get points off!

  • ya u lose points

  • how come nowadays gymnasts only do a little leap to "mount" onto the bars instead of those beautiful flips like those at the beginning of this video? isit banned?

  • i think it's more of a case of not wanting to muck up on the mount right at the begining of the routine, they want to keep it simple and take risks in the later moves, it a little like beam really, Shawn johnson just hops onto one side and then does a mammoth tumbling pass, lots of bar and beam rotines seem to be like that, except perhaps for samantha shapiro's beam, now THAT is an awesome mount.

  • Vice vid

  • Hei MostepanovaFan...

Didn't Daria Joura perform Clear Hip 1.5 in 2006 Worlds EF???

  • Hey, MastepanovaFan, why don't you put other videos from the COP? Yes, it's not a video on the "guide type", but, you helped me a lot learning the difficulty and the differences among them, so why don't you put other videos from the COP²?

  • What is the value of "the Strong"?

  • It is an E

  • Any thoughts why the Strong is not being competed as frequently as, for example, the Pak full? It's such a cool and difficult move.

  • peng peng lee is currently doing the pak full, what is the strong?

  • @czucksk84life it's a 1.5 twist from the high bar to the low bar. it's a beautiful skill. it was named after canadian gymnast, lori strong.

  • this is aswome could u plz make a montage of a- d skills????

  • Really cool video

  • What are the name of the moves at 0:31, 1:24, 1:19 and 1:31? What are they rated and what number do they have in the COP (code of points)

  • 0:31 is a piked stalder with full turn which is an E

1:24 is an Endo with full turn which is an E

1:19 is a Pak salto with full turn (or Bhardwaj) which is also an E

1:31 is another Endo with full turn (E)

  • never seen 0:39, 1:39, 2:49, that was very cool =)

  • Marine Debauve from France does a clear hip 1.5.

  • can you please make a montage of ALL G rated skills? that would be awesome

  • Jordyn Wieber is doing the double double now. She has the same skills that shawn johnson has. A 2 1/2 vault, a full twist on beam, a double double layout on uneven bars. I'ts only missing the double double tuck on floor!

  • triple back dismount?? I didn't think women could do that.

  • the double double laid out is rated as???

Since Elise Ray did it I want to know, and thanks for this montages!!!

  • It's a G skill

  • Thanks

  • How is it called the move at 0.27? waht number does it have in the COP? I t looks impossible! I don't get how can they thist around the arm like that...it doesn't make sense to me. I love your montages. Very useful! I learned o lot from them.

  • can't get enough of this!!

  • Brilliant montage! I loved every second of it :)

  • Why didn't you ever show the whole Li Ya double jaegar combo? (I think that's He Kexin at 2:08, but it's only the first half of the move.) Just wondering, lovely montage!

  • Li Ya is an E, the comboed Jaegar is a D.

The Hearly turn before Li Ya is also an E.

  • 2:48 is awesome!

  • who's at 3:11??

  • It is Ayaka Sahara of Japan at the 2003 Worlds

  • who did the tripple back at the end?

  • I BELIEVED IS BRENDA MAGAÑA .

  • thank you!

  • No, it is Shantessa Pama of the USA @ the 2003 US Classic.

  • Great montage!

    Who is that at 00:37 - 00:38???

  • Thankyou :) It is Lori Strong of Canada

  • what difficulty is the Li Ya dismount rated as?

  • Its an E

  • daria joura performs a clear hip 1.5 pirouette if i'm not wrong

  • who does the skill at :43? pretty rediculous!

  • It is Lori Strong of Canada at the 1988 Olympics. The move she did is named after her

  • there is also a piked jaeger with a half twist. I believe Liu Xuan performed it at Cottbus in 2000. I love that skill.

  • The dismounts from when the bars were closer are amazing to watch!

  • Awesome!!! Triple back!!!!!!!

  • great as usual! i loved it!!!
