Most of JKDs trapping hand techniques are based off of Wing Chuns trapping hands. Remember Bruce Lees primary system was Wing Chun. Techniques may change slightly. But concepts remain the same. It is not necessary to split hairs and argue over names and definitions. Whats important, is the technique applicable, and is it effective? Think about it.

Also, Tackett leans forward with his head leading (vs being back) - again,completely wrong - also, he throws fakes and, as any good chunner knows, THERE ARE NO FAKES IN WING CHUN!!!!!!!!!!
yea to bad that this isnt wing chun...and ind wing chun there is a back fist, i dont know who your learning under, and swinging gate drill is probably just another name for the lop sao drill. His stance isnt suppose to be a wing chun stance either...do your research before trying to act smart.

He purports to be demonstrating a wing chun technique - he not only is unable to demonstrate it with any degree of expertise/competence at all, but he doesn't even know the correct name for it!
As a man supposedly a top JKD Sifu why dosen't he state what technique he is showing at the end of the clip, i.e., a REDOUBLEMENT or in fencing terms a RESIME, and then also show it's relationship to the Lo Fan Chuie (rolling fist) in Sil Lum Tao in order to make it more efficient and ecconomical when in combat?
What is Jeet Kune do?
Is it a kind of Chinese Kungfu?
