It happens every year mate, so get down to the next one in 2010 and if you can't make there, then the organisers of Breakpoint have a camera system set up so you can watch the whole LIVE from streamed video at home :)
This seems obvious that it might be a piss take of my comments about WOW and my hatred for the word "Noob", but if not, then mate you are not going to find the word Noob from me.
The Amiga is a fully multitasking computer that was released in 1985 and that was 10 years ahead of its time at the time of its release. Commodore for whom produced the Amiga went bankrupt in 1994. The last update to the Amiga chipset was in 1992. It was an awesome gaming machine and a creative machine for artists.
Amiga Rules! Would have been great to be there. That track by 4mat (Matthew Simmonds) named "Eternity" is excellent. I still have 3x Amiga 500's and 2x Amiga 1200's.
VERY NICE !!! Collection you have there :) Yep, Breakpoint07 was brilliant!, although i would have liked to have seen TBL (The Black Lotus) enter the Amiga Compo for that year, but they ended up coding for a different platform for that year :( I do have some extra video's to upload and given the amount of feedback i have had on this one, i should upload the rest.
And your Tracker Music is brilliant!, there is actually an Amiga & C64 Demo Scene here in Melbourne called "Syntax" where you can enter your music in a competition... Its basically a mini Breakpoint full of Australian Demo Scene Coders, Musicians & Pixel Artists. I will be getting back into some Tracking once again next year, something i have not done since the early 90's :)
And oh yep, that track by 4mat is brilliant!!, another video you might want to check out was the actual Breakpoint invite which has some beautiful old skool music :)
The video title is-:
"Frameskool" - Breakpoint 2007 64k invite by Equinox
And oh yeah, if you want to go to Syntax next year (November 2009) i will give one of the organisers Anakirob the heads up about some of your great tracked material :)
Thanks for the great feedback and input :) I have seen Frameskool many times I really like the code and design by Keops. I am aware there is a demoparty in Melbourne every year called "Syntax". You never know, maybe this year (2009) I may go to that demoparty. I live in Perth, Western Australia. I will let you know if I am going to go or not. I may release some stuff there.
Sorry for not getting back to you for so damn long NioByte, been very busy :( Yeah, the code and design for Frameskool is absolutely beautiful and i could not agree more on that with you :)
And YES, if you can made it for the Syntax party that would be great!!!... i missed it last year but i will be going this year, especially since i caught up with the Syntax guys again around Xmas last year (2008) and had a chat to the few that were there such as Anakirob & Ctrix :)
Yeah i know!, it still depresses me to this very day that Commodore fucked up back in 1994 sending the Amiga under, but yes Retro "does" live on!, and they are still making some class A demo's :)
Hey Mate! Thanks for your comment and also for your help thus far on the Blood Type Diet :) And yes you are 1000% correct when it comes to how advanced the Amiga was for its time and nothing really caught up with it until the mid 90's. It was a phenomenal machine and i still use my today.
Any Amiga was a great Amiga ( except for the A600 :) .. I started off myself with an A500 in 1990 and then sold it in late 92 to buy an A1200 which is still the same one i use today.
And oh yeah, back then you must have had many a person ogling over the Amiga !! Its graphics and sound output were incredible not to mentioned its Operating System which really started to come into its own around 1990/91 with Workbench 2.0 :)
Yeah i wish "we" included me! :( I can't come this year, my lack of money wont allow it, but have beer on me and shout my name at Breakpoint! Let me know all about it when you get back :)
LOL.. Spanish for Girlfriend :) Must have been why they called virtually all the chips after the names of women :). And i must say am turning green with ENVY about your A4000. I tried to get one off ebay with an 040 like yours, but i was seriously outbid in a massive way :(
thats funny I have my a4000 next to my computer as I write this too. my old a2000 is in storage. I don't turn on the 4000 much tho. figure it'll keep better that way. still love allamy amigas, never met a computer I liked better, & I've had alot of different ones over the course of the years.
My current Amiga setup is an A1200 ( my original one i bought in late 92 :) ), 030/50mhz, 32meg ram, CD Rom.. But my monitor blew up, although i do have a Scandoubler :)
Would have been cool if had of been able to hang around with you guys, since i knew no-one at Breakpoint :( .. If i come back, it would be great to hook up with you guys and get a few drinks in :)
Well going to Breakpoint wasnt the only reason why we travelled overseas, since it was just part of our overall trip. We also spent alot of our time in France :)
So when and where is the next one of these? Is there like a main website where I can watch int through streamed video?

I had an Amiga back in 1988. People were green with envy, because all they had were Mac's or the crappy PC-clones which were still crap back then.
Amiga was light years ahead.

I think the last Amiga I had was either the 1000 or the 1500, if memory serves. I never got the 2000, I don't think.
But I was the envy of my dorm hall; that's for sure.

And, as far as the BTD goes, no problem. It's the single best thing I've ever used.
