AhHAHAHAHAHAHA look at that retarded asain kid sitting there swaying side to side like an utter moron...... Wait, that's me. I look like an idiot. On a happier note, our band did awesome, besides the beginning of the fourth movement :D
You guys are looking pretty darn impressive. The bell tones at the intro need some serious polishing. Talk about cracking a note the one place you can never crack a note. It's obvious you guys have put a lot of work into your fundamentals. Most of the time intervals and arcs and lines are impeccable. The one part that makes me cry is the muddled intro to the 4th act (7:04): The only way to solve it is practice, guys. Also, someone slap that one flat mellophone, seriously.
They can play, but they cant entertain as well as they play. Marching band doesn't need to be soft on the field, its supposed to be in your face. There are some parts that are "true marching band," but it needs to all be at that level. Also, a central theme is not something you have to have, just play some awesome marching band stuff like malaguena, when a man loves a woman, etc. and I'm sure that band will double in size in not too long.
@jongoeyong That's the difference between us and all the other bands. We try to make music not obnoxious noise in your face. And for you to say that that's all marching band is shows your lack of knowledge about music in general.
@bradjoe96 It doesnt have to be "obnoxious noise." It needs to sound good (y'all sound great), but if it were louder at that same quality sound, then it would be much better. I don't lack music knowledge in general, I made 4th chair in the red band last year as a freshman, but entertainment should be emphasized more. My school's band plays for the crowd, not the judges. We already have 8 Macy's and 3 Rose Parades, plus a full trophy case, granted that was when band was band, not art.
