Quit bashing Greg Gutfeld. He goes out of his way to book underappreciated musical acts. He's had guys on from The Melvins, Devo, Pavement, PiL, The Clash, Electric Six, just to name a few.
I didn't say "unappreciated". I said "UNDERappreciated". The Clash are totally overlooked by today's generation. I can play "Rudie Can't Fail" on a CD player for 100 different people in between the ages of 18-25 and about 5 people may know who it is.
For a band as influential as The Clash....If that's not UNDERappreciation then what is???
The Clash are cited as the main influence by pretty much every cliched "indie" rock band plugged by the mainstream media. Their influence is prevalent, and as a corollary, so is awareness of the band.
The only way you can reach the conclusions you do is obviously by interacting with a very small number of people, and completely eschewing mainstream music outlets.
I know damn well what I'm talking about. The Y Generation, for the most part, doesn't give a shit about The Clash. Most of them couldn't name more than 3 of their songs.

@Fetrey i respect the guy. the only reason why some of the things he says sound dumb is because hes dumbing it down for all the people in america watching the show (probably the majority) that have no clue who the melvins are or how people with the melvins type of attitudes would think.
Fox News panders the christian hillbilly crowd and that's it. However my comment about the Fox News guy knowing who the Mentors are and not just knowing who they are but actually saying they were a good group is kinda fucked up.. Because the Fox News audience is typically conservative, they're the ones who usually complain about 'indecency' like that big FCC crackdown that happened a few years back after the Janet Jackson nipple thing.

Poor buzz. He isn't a conservative( not that he's a liberal) but it must suck for him to have to be on Fox.
