Hi, Very nice work, your videos help me a lot , I don't now how many times I have watched the youtube videos and my CD. Your book is very nice too. Thank you!!!
Don't be misled, there's nothing simple about making concrete countertops, and if you want a DIY kit check us out. It will be cheaper for you and more durable.
@aricmm I wouldn't make it any larger than about 7.5 feet. Most sheet goods are 8ft so you are limited there as well. A piece that large will weigh at least 300 lbs.
@Ataraxia27 I'm not familiar with that type of vacuum. You can use an orbital sander or any other power tool that will vibrate the form and/or table. Even using a hammer to tap the edges of the form and table will help release some air. Ideally you want a table vibrator like a Vibco US450T they do a much better job than the above methods.
I really like your program. It is clear and cheery, and not intimidating. I would like the programs to be numbered so i can follow the process step by step.
what is the composition for the concrete? cement, if grit, if sand....

What is the largest length countertop that should be made? assuming 25" width, and about 2" deep? Thank you, such good ideas and inspirations.

instead of using a vibrator, could you use vacuum suction bagging like fiberglass layups? you know, to remove all the air bubbles...
