Awww... I remember that USF sign! It's not there. They changed it in... I wanna say the late 90's. Now that grassy avenue leading up to the admin. building is full of trees. I miss Tampa. I also miss the Tampa of back then (70s, 80s, and 90s).
I lived in melbourne then, this was also one of my favorite stations becuse it played tennesee tuxedo, and all kinds of cartoons after school. If i remember alot of movies late at night. But one thing i am confused about, was this cable channel? i dont know how we could have goten this channel using rabbit ears, but we did and i dont remember how many channels we had but it could only have been 5 not counting UHF.
The Cable Co had a high antenna near Lake Poinsett in Cocoa that they picked it up over the air. It was one of the available cable channels at that time, along with channel 8 and 13 from Tampa.
I live in MN now, but spent most of my life in the Bay area. I was about to say (as I now see below), the Curtis Hixon was THE collest place ever when they built it. Came down fast, though.
Anyone notice it says St Pete tampa which must of meant Tampa was smaller than St Pete back in those days.

@Tampa0123456789 No, WTOG's studios are in St Pete.

@Legend813a St Pete was listed first because, in accordance with FCC requirements, it was WTOG's "city of license".

Ditto for me on those memories! My high school graduation was at Curtis Hixon Hall, fetured in this jingle. Saddened me when it was torn down.
