I think only Muslims can destroy Al Q, not US. Therfore, US/Canada should never ever support corrupt regimes in those countries. never interfere. What they should do (because lets face it, US was attacked on 9/11 and public can't sit back) is support the progressives there! not the dictatorships, curruption, theocracies, martial laws etc..

i never said it had to do with morality and that is what makes him a hero in my eyes. he is speaking out to the public about the facts/strategic calculations which is a hero when you look in comparison to the rest of the federal gov't

jeez, no one said he had to be your hero! I'm happy he is speaking truth to power as not just another talking head on a cable news network that hasn't worked for the defense department since Clinton was in office. It takes a lot of courage to do what he is doing. I want to see more insiders side with me and my moral objection to our wars. They dont have to share my morality to be important to the cause of ending the wars. I don't expect anyone in DC to do anything based on morals.
