@AlleUndWir I grew up in the/am a fellow lover of the 80s, but keep in mind a lot of that music had 'computer beats'. That was the golden era of analog synthesizers and for musicians like myself, some of the best produced computer music :) I miss it dearly, thankfully for YouTube it's all a click away.

GTA Vice City gave this song more notoriety than anything else.  I think this song is more popular now than it was in the 80's. It captures the entire ethos of the 80's perfectly. Driving around Vice City as Tommy Vercetti in a Miami Vice style Ferrari Daytona while listening to Go West, is the coolest thing in the world. The 80's were magical.

My late Sister Portia had this entire LP on cassette when it first came out in 1985! She was in the ARMY stationed at Fort Hood in Killeen TX. and used to bring home her enormous leather case full of tapes on the weekends and this cut was always a favorite with me and my siblings. This song rocks and I also have this song too on the Flash FM radio station in GTA: Vice City. All of the songs on Flash FM so far are currently my most favorites and I really love listening to them all the time too. I have GTA: Vice City for PS2 and it's one of my most favorite PS2 games as well as one of my most favorite GTA games ever in the series. Vice City rocks! Now the next song on the Flash FM setlist will be "Kiss the Dirt (Falling Down the Mountain)" by INXS! LOL :)

Yeah, mine too. It had the best story in the series, too. San Andreas couldn't hold a candle to it, mostly because of this "yeah-i'm-so-cool-wassup-homie­"-stuff. Tommy Versetti had definetely more style than Carl Johnson. Then there was this more or less pointless "Stories" series and well, the latest GTA... okay, nice graphics...

I still have GTA: Vice City for my PS2 and it's still a great game. It never gets old. I may have been born in the early 90's and I may not have been around during the 80's decade since I was born later in the early 90's, but I still love listening to 80's music too. The 80's was such a fantastic era of music.
