If you ask me, remakes should not always follow the originals in everything. Nostalgia is great but remakes need to stand out from the originals.

Remakes are a perfect chance for the game desingers to improve the games or add things that could've been in the games but they weren't sure if they should add them/they figured things/additions after the games were released. For example adding different male Rocket Executives (I honestly thought that they were the same person) or new music.

true,its mainly because his stats are mediocre(75 base speed is the only good stat its got) and it cant learn any move aside from Present without TMs or Breeding.not to mention its typing gives it a nasty 4x rock weakness (which means 50% stealth rock dmg)

I've recently lost my memory on my Platinum version, due to a rare programming error. I can't even start a new file. I've had several people come to me and offered to get me a replacement. However, it's not the game itself you miss...

Training your Pokemon since the beginning of your journey... You sort of develop a bond with them-even if they are just bits of memory. It's kind of like loosing your children, to be honest...

I agree. Even if it's just a video game, it's easy to get so attached to the pokemon you catch and train.

In fact, when Diamond and Pearl first came out, I borrowed it from a friend to play. I became so attached to my pokemon I couldn't give Pearl back to him.

So I paid him $50 back instead so he could buy another copy. x3 Was worth it, though; the satisfaction of beating any Pokemon game for the first time in your first run gives you a fuzzy, irreplacable feeling inside.

Actually, for a bunch of pixels, I kinda have an attachment to my pokemon too. Again, I know they're just pixelated virtual creatures with no actual feelings but I can't help it. You go through all the game catching and training them. In my Soulsilver, I talked to my Cyndaquil and the text said that it snuggled up to me. I couldn't help but think "Aww.." I would be upset if I lost that Cyndaquil.

@SpookerstheSpoo You know, I've felt that way since my Pokémon Yellow Version stopped working years ago--the day when I realized it was gone, I cried because I had such fun training with Pikachu and Rattata and all of the other Pokémon I'd caught playing that game, and now, they were gone. Even worse, when my Gold/Silver cartridges stopped working and I lost my teams on both games, I was devastated. So, when you say that while playing Pokémon, one develops a bond, you're definitely right.
