Was an amazing gig, got to gate entrance f at like 11 am, (pretty damn early) and got in to the golden circle, we were way infront of where this was taken directly in front of the right pyros:P (Loud and warm) spent most of the day talking to the security:P i caught 2 picks thrown out, one from james hetfeild while he was playing "for whom the bell tolls" and one from kirk hammet at the end, which turns out to be signed by lars:P, great day
That was a fantastic weekend saw Metallica on the Sunday and at Live Earth the day before. Were bloody brilliant both days, can't say I could fault there set personally.
I was at this gig, bloody awesome. I was too busy rocking out at the time but looking at this I can hear that Lars was struggling with the sextuplets on the bass drum, it sounds more like 5 and is pretty uneven...jeez the amount of times he's played this song you'd thought he'd have it down. Otherwise I can't fault anything about this gig, best of all time.
yes, he played them pretty tight to start off with but it got a bit worse every time, but then he couldnt play them at all at download so i guess thats better, he doesnt really practise his double bass any more
We turned up at 1.30 and still made the fourth row of the golden circle. Did anybody else notice how much Lars was struggling with his double bass drum in the bridge section of One?
great video i was lucky enough to get right at the front in the front semi circle but to get there we had to turn up at wembley at 8 in the morning and wait all day but it was worth it,you can check out my videos too.
Nice one, made me chuckle that lol..Bet the gig was unbelievable. I last saw Metallica in 1999 on the Big Day Out fest at Milton Keynes Bowl...and before that at Manchester MEN Arena, on the Load tour where they did the mad stunt/explosion thing on the "Cunning Stunts" video...that was an awesome memorable gig. I honestly hope they will do a FULL UK tour again though, and not just London one offs as i'm up north & it's just too damn far to travel for one show, looked awesome though. Cheers! /m/
Metallica sold as many if not more tickets than Live Earth and Concert For Diana lol. Metallica FTW!
