Dime is light years ahead of the others. The riffs, the groove, the *impossible* solos & craziest techniques. Live he was a machine, in the studio he was a disciplined musician. Hetfield is arguably the best metal song writer today. His picking ability is incredible. His hi-tempo downstroking riffs are just as difficult as any shredding solo and he sings over very complex rhythms which takes serious skill. Mustaines got technique but his shit lacks soul. 1 great note beats 1000 fast notes
