  • YOU SUCK

  • nice jazz i like it

  • they almost had it, but screwed it up right after the first part of the intro

  • well i love this song....it s a bit fast...but i guess it s kind of ok.after all it can t be perfect only glen miller was no offence fir the band...i admire you for singing this hit.....keep trying....

  • que bien woow fantastica

  • i hear you they always seem to screw up a piece of art im surprized they didn't totally destroy it by making rap crap out of it

  • VERY GOOD ENJOYED THE PLAYING VERY MUTCH

  • what a bad version of in the modd, its minimum duble so fast xD

  • Different arrangement. Not bad. But the solos were a bit to cerebral and academic for me. I guess their grades depended upon it. I would have liked a bit more blues in those solos. Overall nice tone. Crescendos and decrescendos could have had just a bit more pop though.

  • While the tempo is very fast, it is a great twist to this song and fits well!

  • Outstanding!!

  • o god...way to ruin a great song...

  • Good grief! Glenn Miller would be spinning in his grave so fast, he could produce his own, friction-generated electrical current, with which to strike down these guys. In the Mood was meant to be a lindyhop dance-piece. I can't imagine how the hell anyone can dance to THIS.

  • I actually like the tempo a lot ! You've got a lot of energy !

But the downside are the solos... Since you cannot improvise, you could have learned the original solos and played those.

That's my only criticism. Otherwise, GREAT!

  • wow the soloist suck (lack of tempo, tone and everything), have they even ever listen to jazz before? either they are out of tune, or are they just playing random notes? come on!!!

  • Great sense of creativity. Especially in the begining....... it came as a pleasant suprise...... NO criticism here!!!!

  • it sounds like a hole buch of shit clumped togeher

  • woa.....way too up tempo

not diggin this arrangement at all

  • this is ghey!!!

  • wow this was really good we are playing the same thing in middle school only not as fast

  • bad glenn miller would cry

  • honestly didn't enjoy this rendition

  • Les sale exelente, muy buena versión de In the mood, pero sinceramente prefiero el arreglo de Glenn Miller, bueno es mi humilde opinión, igualmente felicitaciones, es un exelente trabajo.

    Saludos desde Santiago, Chile.

  • Little slow... if u can

  • wow that was fantastic, what a great different version of in the mood :)

  • dang no clarinets!!! D:

I laughed when he said "dueling tenor sax solos" I don't know why.

  • Not bad, but the opening is really week.

  • What's with upping the tempo?

  • Conductor wanted to mix it up I guess

  • even when Glenn Miller Band played this live, they sped it up a little. love this song

  • C'est vrai pourquoi l'avoir prit si vite au début ?

  • this sounds reallly good! im playing this song for school this year, and its so much fun(:

  • very nice twist on the intro but a little too fast

  • saxophones seemed to not be on the beat in their solos, could ahve been a little more creative, but it was overall fantastic

  • WOW!!! Fantastic!!

  • It's very nice but i think it's a little bit to fast

  • my high school just played this song... different version its on here so check it on my account

  • so did I but in Middle School

  • Sloppy Joe's anyone?

Trumpets...take it an 8va lower if you're not ready.

    Saxes, always come through...nice solos!

  • this is the doc severenson ver. from the tonight show band

  • omg, at 1:18, that was like a huge error in the trumpet section, but overall, you have a really stong trumpet section.

The dueling solos was a good idea, and my jazz band has used it many times, but i have to say, the sols could have fitted the 'Mood" (haha pun intended) a little bit better. The solos seemed sloppy at times, but overall the sound was pretty darn good, and the re-written version suited your band well

  • I am in the big band business and i dont think the big band sound was ever meant to be converted into progressive.

  • Unlike everyone else, I really enjoyed this. Yes it was a little sloppy at times, but I overlook that. I always LOVE taking music at a faster tempo, and I've gotta say, I adored the beginning building it on the chord. I must have replayed the beginning about 8 or 9 times before listening to the rest of the song. Good job! I havn't checked to see any more of your band's vids, but if there are some, I'll be sure to listen!

  • this is a fun song to play, i loved the intro. and the faster tempo is great as well. but the section blending wasn't as good. lovely overall, though

  • At least it sounds like it

  • I dont think thats an original, thats the Doc Severinsen and the tonight show band version.

  • ahh!!

they screwd the whole thing up!

i like the old one better.

  • This song is better at a faster tempo IMO. I love this.

  • Smokin!! One of the tightest jazz bands I've heard in a while.

  • Wasnt trying to insult or anything, your guys sound great, and yeah it is fun to blast through that song, just not in a concert, more for a fun rehersal or something.

  • i cried when i heard this...not in a good way. i love this song, but you took the tempo WAAAAAY to fast...sounded decent, but no no no...not for this song.

  • Hi Lil,

I appreciate your feedback. Our director took the song and added his own touch to it. Yes, it was different, but the faster than usual tempo still held the heart of the song.

Regardless, thank you for viewing and posting your opinion!

    ZMAN

  • tempo's too fast. play it slower. my jazz bands playing this song to but the original version.

  • THAT......is the WORST version ive seen......you freaking song killers

  • Thanks ASIAN.

I appreciate your feedback and your view. I'm sorry our director's version didn't jive with your musicial tastes We all have our own opinions. Thank you for expressing yours.

I would love to hear your band's rendition.

    Have a great evening,

    ZMAN

  • NONONONONO.This band completely ruined the song. And like if your going to remix the solos,at least make them sound good.Oh my fucking god like you guys ruined the whole entire fucking song all together.Ruined it.Fuck you pieces of shit who try to ruin a fucking perfect masterpiece of the 20's.

  • Patroks,

Thank you for your view and remark! I'm sorry our director's version didn't mix with your vision of the song. It was taking the song in a different direction. It works for some and it doesn't work for others.

I'm sorry you view us as "pieces of shit". While none of us are music majors, we love music. I could make some remark about how we'll be making more money than you for the rest of our lives, but I'm above that.

    Your piece of fucking shit,

    ZMAN

  • @ZMAN311

    Haha. I loved your response.

  • The tempo's fine, it's always better played a little faster (Maybe not as fast as this though) it was the Intro that really did the damage here. I love this song and you guys almost did a good job... almost.

  • Baka,

Thanks for the view and honest feed back.

    ZMAN

  • @ZMAN311 i thought it was perfect man !!!!!! im only 18 and i love this music

  • HOLY COW!

KIllED THE SONG! WAY WAY TOO FAST TEMPO. SLOW IT DOWN LIKE HALF. AND THE BEGGINNING (ALTHOUGHT IT WAS GOOD) DID NOT SOUND CORRECT TO ME. BUT IT SHOULD BE REALLY SLOWED DOWN.

  • way 2 wreck a great dancing song guys

  • Well, apparently this is supposed to be Maynard Fergusson's version of "in the mood", it is supposed to be even faster than this.

The difference is, Fergusson's arrangement is not supposed to be danceable, but it is a masterpiece. Unfortunately these guys don't play it the right way, and don't have the right feeling, that's why it may sound wrong, but at least they are trying hard :)

  • WTF that was way too fast

  • Swing is supposed to be at a danceable tempo. . .this is not.

  • Yes, the tempo is too fast. What kind of director do they have? Crazy one I believe.

  • una mierda la wea pos choros, mucha caca, muy rapido, parece ke los estuviera persiguiendo el tren ctme longis

  • Very bad arrangement....the tempo is about twice as fast as it should be.

  • sweet!

  • its jazz you dunce

  • this is like 30 clicks faster than what my school plays it

  • not very good ensembleship but it was enjoyable

  • anyone who says these kids aren't good should come listen to the band at MY school. They played, or rather, tried to play Edilweis from the sound of music and I couldn't tell what it was until looked at the program

  • PAINFUL TO MY EARS! Glenn Miller must be glad he's dead.

  • If they slowed it down a step or 2 it would be just fine, but this fast paced tempo is too much, wait I just now heard the Tenor Solo, nevermind that idea for solos was garbage!

  • they are good individuals, but not a good band

  • Are you frigin people alright. This is a couple of kids, THEY WERE GREAT, if you think any different you don't know music

  • Wtf nothing... can you say Eargasm... this was too fast but alright... blasting trumpets what a new concept...

  • It was a good arrangement, and I really liked the dueling solos; worked very well. However, it does feel like your drummer ran away with it a bit; it just feels like it was a hair too fast for the band to do comfortably. Slow it down a few beats, and it would be awesome.

  • Yeah, definitely a little too fast. Honestly, otherwise it was pretty good.

  • ya, i like the original better, but this was okay

  • too fast.

  • No, the only person who can play this is that man with that grand band . . . Glenn Miller. You should have just done his version. Nothing is more swinging and in the big band style as Glenn Miller's In the Mood. Good musicians however.

  • I think the original is still better, although you do have a couple of skilled players.

  • To je masakr těžkého kalibru!!! Klobouk dolů..

  • no one understands what you are saying. SPEAK IN ENGLISH!!!

  • dats the hot shit

  • overal it was very good nice arrangement. i miss the three repeats sax soli that gets softer that kinda makes the song sorry. well very good keep up the good work.

  • awesome. old school WFU jazz. Why didn't you tell us any of these videos were up here?

  • I like this arrangement. A breath of fresh air since I've heard the song millions of times. =P

  • Nice job:D:D

  • It's not bad, although I don't like that they left the straight eighths part out of the tune. That, in my opinion, is a very important part of that song. I enjoyed it, though.

  • i like the original better!!! ><

  • in the original recording of glenn millers version it was a tenor and baritone sax that dueted,,,,,

  • the intros fine.. but if your gonna play anthing like this.. take it slow.. i can hear alot of mistakes in the intro..

  • yah it reminds me a little bit of the doc severnsen's version of in the mood, but the solos aren't even close to that recording, everyone needs to check that out. no one can play a trumpet like doc either.

  • dont like this intro;/

  • It's too fast...... But that's the reason why I kind of like this version.

Not as good, but "Just at the end of the semester" would explain it.

If my band cracked, he would kill us lol.

  • No wonder big bands are dead............

  • OMG!! I play the alto and tener saxaphone over all I've only played the sax for about 4 years now.... but this movie is soo crazy!!! i've attempted to play in the mood and it is harder than is sounds!! ans spead up!! I' have to tip my hat to this band :D kudos!!

  • welll, i personally find, as well as many others, that the solos might need a bit of work, and i find that for in the mood it is slightly too fast for my taste, its too fast to appreciate the full extent of the saxes in this song, still pretty good though...

  • dood the band totally overdid it.. still good though

  • lol this is alot better than our hs band check out the video response i left

  • Pretty good as a band... The solos needed a bit of work, they didn't really match with the tune. It was pretty fast, but too bad. One of the trumpets sticks out in some parts and in the beginning the drummer was a bit too loud. At least, it seemed that way to me. I don't know how you guys were, but you did okay! :D

    Ana

  • welll i am from peru but i love these fox-trot but its could be better in black man playing that solo

  • no offence but the solos suck

  • doc severensin arrangement...we actually played this last night.

  • You guys should cover Motorhead.

  • Holy sh*t lol i cant even play mine 4 band let alone play a faster version wow im impressed really good

  • I love it. Absolutely love it. It's different and that's what makes it so much better.

  • Someone should fire the music-teacher...

  • This is much too fast. Too fast and too sloppy. No-one could dance to this.

  • Shangas, it was re-written to be extremely fast. But, I would agree it is too fast, but we were told to play it.

  • OMG! YOU TOTALLY RUINED THIS SONG!

im in seventh grade jazz band.. i have to say.we sound cooler*im 1st tenor!*

  • Ruined? No. Different variation? Yes. Relax man. We all can't be a child prodigy like your 7th grade ego builds you up to be.

  • way too fast would have been excellent if it was slower. Good arrangement though

  • Thanks Tak, it is def. fast, but that is how the arranger wanted it to be. But I'm glad to hear you would have like it if it were slower!

  • WAY 2 FAST! i played this song in the Melbourne JTC Stage Band in Aus and your playing about 1.4 times the actual tempo and everything is rushed, and the sax soloists really need to look at what scales they are improving over and their phrases were boring and repitive towards the end, and the 1st trombone was way too f***ing loud towards the end, and i dont see why you should dance around looking like gay losers it doesnt make you look cool. other than that the trumpets wern't too bad

  • Dude, relax about the dancing. Have some sense of humor. It was supposed to be mad fast. As for the solos, fast arrangement and putting it together in a very short time period doesn't allow for really good solo formulations.

  • accents are the thing that makes this song move....you guys did none and the solos sucked to be honest...just listen to the book and the original solo. it helps and there was too much tenor and not enough of the alto cutting tone...omfg i heard cracking trumpets ><

  • Yay cracking trumpets!!! D:

  • guys... what's your problems? It's their own version of in the mood.

  • university band? are you kidding me? you're soloist need to listen and lift the solo's to his song before they think about improving.

    Elliot

  • ahhh!!! the camera is bad and their solos arent that well... they should get a book...

  • Jesus! Put the brakes on!
