  • do you castrate your bull calves after they come out?

And before anyone says anything about how cruel that is.....it IS a common practice!Get over it

  • how is the calf a belgian blue? looks like another holstein/freisian to me? sorry i have no clue about cow breeds/genetics lol

  • my mom used to have a cow but it got turned into steak. my mom raised it. was like 9 months old when he got turned into yummy food.

  • @ParadiseReptiles1 Are you sure it was only 9 month ? Maybe it was a veal calf ?

  • @holsteincowboy yup im sure. my mom bought him when he was still nursing.

  • Whether you eat plants or animals you're still taking life, its unavoidable and natural.

  • Aww its so cute how could you ever kill that after raising it?

  • so cute, but we kill them every day! glad I am vegeterian

  • @Matthews2311 There would be no Cute little calf for you to look at if we didnt eat them....Just the Truth

  • at least i go a chicken farm....

  • Beautiful calf! Rough start, but many births are.

  • He is a bull: so did he finishes at the slaughter house?

  • @DORAMARIE Not yet ! but some day he will be :(

  • @holsteincowboy That is a shame: such a pain to give birth to this beauty and..for nothing...

  • @holsteincowboy oh god! looks in hambuger... um how long untill he is slaughted?

  • @holsteincowboy See, now: that's the reason I eat chicken sammiches... That...and the fact that chicken is easier on your digestive tract than beef.

  • @DORAMARIE How can you tell he's a ...OH! Nevermind....

  • aww hes so sweet :D

  • wat ikinds of other animals do yuu have ?? do yuu have rabbits :D

  • @singingme4774 yay! another bunny fanatic just like me :D

  • @TeamJacob1903 I have a bun too:)

  • Thanks for the follow up video of this little fellow! And thank you for giving him such a great (even if short) life. IMO it's not the length of their life but the quality that counts. Good job!

  • Great Vid. We had blue's on my father's farm but they had genetic defects we were calving them to blonde's and simmental.

  • yeah:) Me too.

  • Yeah. It was pretty hard. But Im gunna own a farm once I move out of my parents house. And im gunna raise all them animals:)

  • Cool ....... Hope that comes true for you

  • @Horsefreak802 I'm thinking of doing the same. Either that, or become a bounty hunter.

  • I used to live with my grandma and I was outside with the cattle everyday.Feedin em and all that happy stuff then I had to move away and since I moved my grandma and her husband sold all of them cause they were too old to keep up with all of em. S onow I aint got none as pets anymore....I remember when I was littler trying to go in the field and play with the calfs and getting kicked in the stomach many times.also raised chickens rabbits and goats

  • Sounds like you miss your cattle & other pets

Must have been a sad day when you moved and had to leave your animals behind

  • lol why would he never have been born? Lol I used to keep heifers and bulls and calfs as pets:)

  • If everyone was a vegi there would be no point in rearing him - There would be no market for the beef

wow - you raised cattle ! Do you have a farm ? and why did you stop keeping them as pats ?

  • how long do you raise em till he becomes food?

  • About 2.5 years

  • oh...Hes only got a little bit longer then:( Think I may become vegitarian...I feel bad for all the animals being killled

  • He has a good life outside grazing pasture If everyone was a vegi he would never have been born so please keep eating those beef burgers lol !

  • he was a big boy eh? how old is he now?

  • 5 month

  • r u going to use him for veal?

  • Can't help but wonder who's dinner that'll be eventually.

  • Our bull calf is getting trained to pull carts.

  • Maybe yours the next time you have a big mac lol

  • So being a male, does he become food?

  • yes

  • So think about that the next time you tuck into a hunk of cheese and a glass of milk. Some of these bull calves don't even go that far. The entire thing is sick.

  • @msrret Not nessicarily. Sometimes they get cows to produce milk the old-fashioned way: feeding them hay and the like. Or, at least, that's what my grandma told me, and she lives out in the countryside, so she would know bout these kind of things.

  • I really appreciate the effort you put forth in doing your videos. I do the same things every day but the ordinary working man dosn't know what is involved in the task of being a farmer. I forgave all of my chores and field work to have my arm up into a cow to save a calf.

Thank you for making you videos true to life.

  • I wish this farm was hiring. NYC would never see me again. I'm glad he made it and is fine.

  • Fine, fine looking youngster!

  • He was already big, but he got bigger fast!
