  • The mention of DCI on this vid is practically insulting...

  • @DasBullWy Mind you I still love listening to drum corps though

  • ahh . . . a group with nothing but lead trumpets. Sounds like listening to the Concord Blue Devils UFLS Section.

  • WOW!

Thanks for posting. I will buying this recording today if I can find it

  • The track is 'Wild Party' from Buddy Bregman's 'Swiniging Kicks' Album. In my opinion it's the best Swing Album out there!! Well maybe apart from Kentons 'Kenton in Hi Fi'.

  • @GREGCNORTON I have both these albums and agree love them both! There are plenty of great swing albums out there, though, by a guy named Basie.....listen to his Kansas City Seven Album.......

  • @flutedoubler Yes I do have plenty of Counts recordings as well. But this still does it for me!!

  • @GREGCNORTON So many great recordings. I'm a saxclarinetflutepianoplayer and teacher. Love Ellington, Basie, MF, Mulligan, Paquito D'Rivera, Benny Goodman, Gerry Mulligan, Phil Woods, Desmond, Dexter Gordon, Trane. I have over 3000 CD/records/cassettes. I think that Bregman and Kenton you mentioned are in my top ten. Do you perform?

  • @GREGCNORTON Been digging Kenton in Hi-Fi since I was a kid. Another 'best' swing album is Basie E=MC2.

  • Damn, that is the greatest trumpet section ever. What tune is this, and what band is this?
