  • the high C is not good from my...is in falsetto-natural voice....

  • @LAPITAGORIZACION It's not a falsetto. It's a so called falsettone which is very very different from a normal falsetto. A falsettone is a full sound coming from the head voice, rarely practiced today. With the exception of a marvel like Chris Merritt.

  • Thank you very very much to you and to him of course.

    And happy birthday, Chris !!!

  • incredible covering high c

  • that is amazing! holy crap. incredible

  • Wonderful!!!! Even more astonishing is that this is the encore of a phenomenal recital of the toughest tenor arias with multiple Top Cs, Ds and Es!!!!! Absolutely remarkable!!!!

  • I heard 2 E flats in this recital but no E.

  • Find me another tenor who at least sings those two E-flats with this kind of voice on the same evening with all those crazy arias!

  • it´s just that someone said there was a high E as well. The only tenors I can think of duplicating this performance are, nicolai gedda, william matteuzzi and gregory kunde.

can someone find merrit´s puritani F?

  • Not yet, but he did sang those in Puritani. I know a colleague who sang with him in the same cast and where just shocked by his high F's, inviting people to come and see Merritt performing, instead of himself!!!
