My dearest mulims assalamu alaikum.Although the word verse to translate Ayyah is in our everyday language and people know what we mean most of the time , we should make the extra effort to use Ayyah/Ayyat instead. Because Allah does not refer to His Ayyah as verse. In fact, He says in the Quran that the Quran is not the word of a poet.Also, using incorrect translation impedes understanding.NB: The first translators of the Quran were not the mulims.Please research these views.May Allah bless you
