He (or she) isnt getting paid to do it and was nice enough to take the copius amounts of time to create this tutorial yet its too much of an inconveinance for YOU to spend a few seconds to find something on your own? @Brooklyn0merta Excuse me but i make far better tutorials on my alt Youtube account and provide everything, i have been building for 5 years and doing 3d modelling for 15 years so i have every right to express myself. I even show people how to directly import things into the Second Life grid and things like this often span 2 videos so don't talk to me about taking the time out to do things and not being paid for it.

for some reason i cant find the bake second life option under render i dont know if its because of the version im using or what. im using blnder 2.49a and the domino website is different now and idk wich one i need to choose that will work plz help. Oh and for some reason i dont have a .blender file in the Blender file so i had to create a Script folder.

I have the script bake second life sculpties, but when I click it nothing happens, I don't get a sculptie map. what is wrong for me ?

I use blender 2.48 and like another I can't find the blend second life function and how do I get the colored map for the sculpties I create? I get as far as mapping but not sure if I"m doing it right. as this colord area does not show. would like some help please. PS great tutorial wish it helped.

the console is the secnd window which opens in the background when you started blender. But probably you better look at the machinimatrix blog and check out the videos and text tutorials there first.

You can use higher resolution, but in general it does not make sense. You might gain marginal optimisations, but 64*64 is the optimal size. Technicaly it would be sufficient to use 33*33 bits images, but that doesn't work, because images need to be sized by power of 2. Therefore the best working image size is 64*64

it's in your user files in windows vista, you can locate it there or uninstall blender and reinstall, during the install, you will be asked where to place the .blender file, select the blender folder so that it installs in the location stated in the tutorial.

FYI if 'Sculpt Mesh' doesn't appear under Add -> Mesh after adding the python scripts to your script directory, then you need to open a script window and click Scripts -> Update Menus.

I've gone to the Blender site and seen several demo videos on how to use Blender. The problem is, they are all in .AVI form and for some reason, my computer refuses to let me see them. I've downloaded a special program to see them, but can't. I never did find this one.. but in case this one was also an .AVI and you were able to see it and change it to a YOUTUBE video, might I suggest you do the same with all the others? I know that it would be VERY VERY helpful if you could put all of them here.

.avi isn't a codec, it's just an wrapper. Nearly any type of encoded video will use the .avi extension. But as long has you have flash installed you should be able to watch any video on youtube with no problems.
