  • Thanks for the info. We want a tankless system and had not thought of an electric one. I liked how your siding job turned out. We live in Mechanicsville. Where did you buy your building and did they put it up for you? We need one that size. With your siding job was it over $3,000. Like your site. We are french intensive, organic, gardeners. Nothing like soil under your finger nails. I use to hunt but now I just fish the Rappahannock.

  • @navajopa31 your welcome Buddy your welcome

  • Why do they recommend flushing tankless water heaters with vinegar every 6 months? If scale can't form in the brass pipes, then why flush it?

  • @schwagerjt Theres No need to Flush a Tankless Hot water Heater ?? Its Gets flushed everytime you turn on your hot water !!!

  • where did u get it?

  • @toxicfrost123 I bought it online I would get The Hubbel a great unit

  • Did you install a pre-filter on that to reduce the scale buildup? And is this system easy to backflush?

  • @schwagerjt There is really no need for a screen or Back Flush Because the hot water inside doesent stay in the system long enough buddy to cause scaling & trash like conventional hot water heaters

  • @kvusmc Not sure I buy your explanation because there is always water inside the system -- even when you aren't using it. And I would venture to guess that at those times when the hot water is not in use (i.e, not flowing through the system but stagnant inside the pipes) is when scale can form. Time will tell if you are correct.

  • @schwagerjt Yes thats true There is always water in the system But not Much of a chance of scale because there are Brass Loop Tubes inside the Box vertical heater electrodes not many places for scale to settle

  • I just installed a Titan Tankless. I only have 150 amp service ran 6/2 wire to a 60 amp double pole breaker. That was 75 dollars for the breaker and the wire. The unit was 200 dollars on ebay. Did the whole job with a friend. They work great but when you r in the shower and someone turns on the sink you can feel the water temp get a little cooler. But it does work as advertised

  • If you install a circ pump on a tankless you WILL have almost instant hot water on all fixtures between the unit and the end of the circulation loop! TAKAGI has a diagram of how to plumb this. Tankless heaters are instant and ENDLESS!

  • Tankless water heaters are NOT on demand. The water coming out of the faucet is not instantly hot. It still takes time for the cold water in the line to get out of the faucet (depending on how far away the faucet is to the water heater). Tankless water heaters are however, endless. Meaning the water heater doesn't have to heat up a tank of water, so it will never run out of hot water. The water out of a tankless water heater is hot instantly, but not instantly hot out of the faucet.

  • He did not say instant & yes anyone with an IQ equivalent to that of a "potato" can assume that the stationary water in the pipes must be flushed before the hot water can come out, DUH! But the very definition of Tankless Water heaters is that they only begin to heat when the water flows making them an "on demand" water heater. For you to say they are not "on demand" makes you sound very ignorant. Your quibbling semantics of instant or virtually instant but it IS on demand.

  • @Resistoon the heater itself IS on demand.... the delay on when the cold standing water flushes from the lines is a plumbing limitation not the heaters.... you could install multiple smaller units like these close to the sink or shower or install an expensive recirculating system if your that impatient or spoiled. otherwise the wait is the same as a water tank style.

  • what brand is this, i typed the brand you mentioned but could not find tat exact one

  • Nice unit, but unions SUCK!

  • Youre saying it only cost you $200 for installation and parts? No Plumber would install anything for only 200. And you needed an electrician.

  • elvis?

  • Now that you've had it for a year, can you tell me if you've had any problems, and approximately how much it has saved you financially? I'd rather have electric, but am thinking of propane because i assume electric is more expensive to run. How many faucets/showers/dishwashers can run simultaneously?

    Thanks for posting this!

    DAN

  • No probles Yet Saves alot electricity I can Run Dishwasher Shower Almost Everything at the same time plus when your sleeping It isnt costing you any money ! Take care !

  • If you do not have a 200 amp circuit breaker system in your house don't even think about it, houses built before 1990 usually don't.. It's going to cost you about $2000 to upgrade your electrical service to 200 amps and this is without the installation cost of the unit! Please use a licensed electrician, this unit is a 220V 70amp sucking beast, MUST be on a 70 amp double pole breaker using 6 gauge wire; The savings that you get (1 1/2YR) is well worth the expense..

  • @jigjam more and more of the newer gas alternatives like the one I'm installing vent right out the wall so if you can install on an outside wall its easy, plus propane or natural gas is more efficient than electric heater both tank and tankless...

  • looks good.

  • Thanks for watching

  • Thank you for posting this. I have been researching tankless water heaters and have found very mixed reviews, even regarding the product you have. I also found out that for many interested potential buyers is the issues regarding cost of parts, labor, materials and installation. some home owners will incur major cost to install a unit in a pre-existing

structure as opposed to a home that is being constructed; the cost of the special stainless venting pipe is very expense.

  • It is well worth it in the long run Thanks for watching !

  • @sagondo many forced air gas units vent right out the wall now and include the stainless vent pipe.... the marked up units you see at local supply shops in the US are marked up in price tremendously.... Everywhere else in the world the prices are reasonable.... Its just considered a new unnecessary item in the states at the moment like many "Green" or new alternatives so its easier to monopolize and jack up the local prices, But the internet is evening the playing field a bit.

  • Hi, the in coming water during the winter is much colder then the summer months sometimes even a 15 degrees different depending where you live. How does your Tankless handle the colder water during the winter months? Do you still get hot water you have set on your tankless?

  • I got it set at 110 degrees It is plenty warm even in winter ! It is A great unit !Thanks for watching !

  • So, the water is hot enough with that tankless heater?

    this is fantastic!

  • I got it set At 110 degress Faraheit It will Definetly burn you! & you never run out thanks for watching !

  • What is your flow rate with a 55-60 degree rise?

  • I belive it is 3 gallons per minute

  • They are abot 900.00 Lifetime warranty

  • I GOTTA GET ME ONE HOW MUCH WAS IT NOT TO BE NOSY ORANY THING JUST WANTED TO KNOW IM GONNA GEA ME ONe

  • Does that thing suck up enough power to dim your lights?

  • Nope It only Draws 60 Amps When In Use No It is real Effecient Infact My Electricity bill was 20.00 less This Month ! Thanks For Watching

  • That's what I'm doing also Kenny. I am installing a natural gas unit that will not only supply potable hot water but will also provide hot water to my radiant floor heat. A much more economical and efficient way to go plus the tax break is an added incentive. BT

  • That is one reason I did it Old tank style units are out of date

  • look at all that room you saved.

  • Alot of room & Money Plus long hot showers LOL
