@BRDisney Muitas palavras em espanhol são femeninas e em português masculinas. "O Leite" em espanhol é femenino (La leche), também "O sangue" (em espanhol "La sangre"). E tem outras que em português são femeninos e em espanhol masculinas, por exemplo muitas palavras em português com a terminação "gem" como "a mensagem" (el mensaje) "a dublagem/dobragem" (el doblaje)...

@parchisfan Isso é muito interessante mesmo! Eu sabia sobre as palavras com terminação -gem/-je, mas não sabia de "leche" e "sangre", foi legal saber :D É engraçado como esse conceito de gênero muda de língua para língua - mesmo as que se parecem tanto ;)

@BRDisney Yup, it's "(el) árbol", it's very curious. There are lots of cases like this one, for example (a) cor/ (el) color, (a) floresta / (el) bosque....

@martiA113 That's indeed interesting! :D I knew about some gender differences between other languages, such as French and Portuguese. For example, "sea": in Portuguese, "o mar"; in French, "la mer" (I think). I didn't know that Spanish and Portuguese had so many gender differences too.

Yo no hablo español, but I understand it pretty well due to the similarity of our languages ;) Reading, listening, understanding: ok. But speaking or writing... it turns to be more like "portuñol" :D Haha!

(I knew about "la mer" xD in spanish is a male, too. In french most of the words have different gender, I'm learning it.)

But there are also differences on the meaning of the words! For example, our word for "apelido" is "sobrenombre", and our word for "sobrenome" is "apellido" xD
