What a talented musician and writer. Stu will be missed for years to come. Thank goodness he left us with all these great songs... music that continues to inspire us!
@runehealing Yes Stu was very talented with his music, singing, song writing and amazing guitar playing. His heart was full of values and principles. Some say he was politically left wing, some say otherwise. I say he was just a man with a opinion and wrote his thoughts into words. His last Big Country song was Perfect World. We all should aspire to make it so. Thanks for your thoughts and views.
@spainishgirl Thank you for your comments. This was from the first album " the crossing " back in 83. The guy is a true legend. Thanks girl for your comms and for watching
Epic from the best Scottish band of all time in my opinion. Unfortunately never saw them live as i was too young back in the day...gutted, totally gutted. Got all the dvds and boy i missed something special. The Crossing and Steeltown will remain 2 of my all time favourite albums till the day i die
@reniisgod hey my friend. I see you have the same passion as me for the big man. The crossing was the most unbelievable album ever, because it was so new with the style of music and in those days songs and lyrics were dreadful, but out of the obiss comes Big Country............. the world should have listened. Steel town was awesome too, slightly different trait on the sound but the mentality was the same. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts with me, respect to you
@blertoly I know mate, within a day of writing my last post i had a spell of hammering "where the rose is sown" and started thinking "actually this is my fav..". I'm still like a kid in a sweetshop with BC and can't decide so it's best i just stick with the idea that they're all first class. So after that writing this mini book i'll say cheers again yeah.
I am still in awe of this album. It was great then and it is still great now. But now, after all these years, the memories of that time (1983) and all the times I have listened to this album since, roll though me and take me away.
@cochranexyz hey there, thanks for watching and yeah, 83 feels like yesterday. The music is as good to listern to today as way back then. Thanks for your comments and keep listening to the awesome BC
