  • Sahane África lindooooooooo

  • Şahane

  • What´s the name of first song? It´s amazing!

  • Lindoooooooooooooo

  • please tell me the name of the song that starts at about 0.16 ben lookn everywea 4 it

  • Casa, casa, casa!

  • Como se llama la musica del minuto 18

  • OH GLÓRIAS EU ESTOU NA AFRICA is beautiful

  • @telebluesful do you know what the underground railroad was?

  • Why are people saying ''Go back to school'' As if schools taught us these things properly?

  • @StackyTacky yeah ur right half if not more of the stuff in my school textbook is western point of view crap

  • @StackyTacky now that was good one

  • What's interesting here is that the mere fact that people are still talking about dates shows heartfelt the events still are to many people. The South Africans set the example for the rest of the world, and forgave... It is almost 2012, isn't it time we all stopped dwelling on the past, and started hearing this music in the present, the way these singers do? Heart felt, now.

  • ey i am rich now

  • @telebluesful The mainstreak of Christianity at that time was certainly okay with slavery. The Catholic church rationalized it by saying while their bodies were being subjected to slavery, their souls were being freed by being exposed to the Christian gospel. There were radial sects of Christians like the Quakers and Puritans who were against slavery very early on, but everyone else was copacetic with the practice.

  • Even the pure voices of the Celtic Women cannot bring me as close to tears as these soulfull, gorgeous vocals do.

  • does anyone knows the name of the song at the begining of the clip please?

  • lol Tell me your desires

  • @telebluesful The emancipation was in 1863, though I don't think worst of the US for it, quite a few countries had abolished slavery before that. The whole of the British empire had the abolition in 1838, France declared abolition in 1848, Romania abolished slavery in 1843-1855 (Slaves were rom/gipsy though, not African)... Really, the only guys late to the party were Latin America, with abolition coming between 1873-1888. Feel free to dust off your history books ;)

  • @animatedline (I just wanted to specify, British law was passed in 1834, but only took effect in 1838 (though it was planned to take effect 6 years after the law passed, peaceful manifestations hasted the process)

  • For all of you interested watch the movie Freedom, It's about Steven Biko, Denzel Washington plays the main character. And the real slavery lies in Trade Sanctions.

  • In fact, Southern Africa didn't even have anything to do with the slave trade. All your points are irrelevant and have nothing to do with the video -__-

  • WTF Does slavery have to do with the choir?? STFU and enjoy the music or go away.

  • @MissBiguk Amen.

  • hrm Tell me your fantasies and let's make them a reality

  • what is the name of this song i love this i'm going to sing it :)

  • @telebluesful France was first, actually. The UK abolished it in 1807 and, with the force of the Royal Navy, worked harder than any force that came before it to stop the slave trade. The USA was the second-to-last, Brazil did not abolish it until 1886. Other than that, you are essentially correct. The slave trade was well-established in both east and west Africa. The Europeans just met them at the port, paid, and picked up slaves for transport.

  • Canada abolished slavery before the States as well -- hence the "Underground Railroad," by which escaping slaves sought freedom in Canada.

  • @telebluesful Bullshit! Great Britain abolished slavery.. So before you make a claim, read your history books boy

  • ey Lets rock baby

  • God, how beautiful!

  • Could someone please tell me the title of the song at 50. Many Thanks

  • @andyhandy1 hossana in the highest it sounds like, they actually say that, i may be wrong though so dont take my word on it.

  • @telebluesful Actually, America was pretty late in abolishing slavery compared to other leading nations at the time.

  • Perfeito...BrasilxSouth Africa!!! povo maravilhoso que deu essencia ao nosso povo Brasileiro

  • where can i download this choirs songs?

  • SI MON PEUPLE HAITI

copy and paste this to the URL Bar:

    youtube.com/watch?v=gtm7JkiTmWU

  • absolutely inspiring music by the Soweto Choir ! Thanks for sharing | africasiaeuro[.]com/video_test

  • awesome :D

  • beautiful..... beautiful s2

  • CLICK ON: disccentury, GOSPEL MUSIC, NEVER SEEN

  • Just madly in love with this group.

  • @telebluesful whoa are you serious i come from jamaica and our slavery was done in 1838 while yours was done in 1862!!

second!! wrong! chieftains were infiltrated by europeans, they themselves were put in horrible positions that made them sell out some of their people, and even then they didnt know the scale it was going to reach...

THIRD CHRISTIANITY WAS USED TO IMPLEMENT SLAVERY, by calling us 3/5ths human they were then allowed to use us as slaves...many christians felt it was their RIGHT.

  • @rantazz23 that is true , Race discrimination was always there , but shouldn't we forget about it and live in harmony now ?

I am an Indian , and Hindus were first raped, tortured and killed by muslims and turks and then by white people treating indians as dogs and our race really bad

But what's done is done , I can't rant about the past , Even Indians would have tortured many people , if industriak would have happened in Africa or India , then white people would have been slaved

  • @djay00009 if we forget our past we are doomed to repeat it in the future...

i was simply correcting this misinformed individual...i have anger for what had happened hundreds of years ago, i do NOT hold it against any people today.

if we brush it under the rug and hope it goes away, you really havent solved anything. there is too much pain in the history, and the effects are still being shown...as in south africa with what apartheid did

and industrial revolution happened after slavery

  • @rantazz23 If we had some science revolution like which Happened in Europe , our people in that time would have thought that our race is superior to these whites , we would have done slavery too , Its just the times man , Humans were like that back then ,.

But does our grandfathers or fathers or our very old generation have anything to do with our intelligence ? I can proudly say I am an intelligent human being ,We are all humans

Spread the love and peace to the world :)

  • @djay00009 correction: not after slavery, but slavery had already begun

im not sure about hindus but there are definitely peoples of the world who have suffered horribly at the hands of other peoples (and their religion), that is their situation, i concern myself with my heritage...i have love for all though.

  • Wow. Wish I could understand the words.

  • CLICK ON: disccentury, GOSPEL MUSIC, NEVER SEEN

  • @telebluesful 1.the bible condones slavery 2 this doesn't make having slaves any less bad and putting them through months of painful and inhumane travel on a boat any less awful 3 america was most definatley not the first and think of canada and the underground railroad

    Facts my friend :P

  • wow, this is cool. but america wasnt the first country to abolish slavery, at all. and in england, it didnt take people running from there homes, to a new part part of the country, and there it certainly didnt contribute to any civil wars. ever. but religion isnt a delusion? if it is, to you, then u shouldnt watch this video. go watch something on how after we die we supposedly no longer exist, or how the world just magically exploded out of a tiny dot of energy and matter. dumb dumb.

  • @telebluesful America was not the first to abolish slavery sorry....

  • @telebluesful I"m pretty sure, that the USA was one of the last country's to abolish slavery. Deff not the first. all other points valid though :D

    btw love the choir <3

  • Gospel Kick so much ass!!!

  • CLICK ON: disccentury, GOSPEL MUSIC, NEVER SEEN

  • @telebluesful Hey close but England abolished slavery first.

  • WoW , very nice , and amazing voices , unbelivable harmony , beside the fact that they are singing for god , and they don't feel the need to show some skin " in the name of jesus" like americans do.. spiritual , without the need a for an almost naked lead female singer. god bless africa.

  • It's sad, because the delusion of religion was inflicted upon them by invaders many years ago, and now they defend it like their own after it has been proven as delusional.

  • This brought TEARS to my heart!

    BEAUTIFUL

  • @telebluesful Where did you hear America was the first to abolish slavery? France did it first, but Napoleon reinstated in when he gained power.

  • @telebluesful Actually, Slavery was abolished in the British Empire in 1834, while it didn't occur in the United States until after the Civil War in the 1860's. Who needs to go back to school now?

  • @CrimsonPhantom88 Well that's a difficult situation, since technically different states abolished slavery well before the end of the civil war... hence it being an issue in the civil war

  • @CrimsonPhantom88 It was officially banned, but who can say 'abolished' when no attempts to rehabilitate/relocate former slaves or redress what was done to the people of the colonies or west African countries were made; they continued to live lives of economic and social bondage. All the way into the 80's the people of the colonies who'd returned to Old Blighty were hounded by community racists and the police in (Brixton, Bradford etc) as if they had no rights of citizenship.

  • @CrimsonPhantom88

Slavery didn't occur till' after the Civil War? Slavery was present in 1619 within the Jamestown Colony. Might want to check facts first.

  • @CrimsonPhantom88 That's a pretty smug comparison, considering how America established slavery as a British colony. Still, the British continued many of their practices long after slavery was abolished. After WWII, the British set up a network of gulags and concentration camps for interring nearly the entire Kikuyu people of Kenya. The British tortured, raped, & killed hundreds of thousands of Kenyans after taking their land--and right after the Holocaust. The Brits have nothing to be proud of.

  • @CrimsonPhantom88 lol good one

  • a tear just fell down my right cheek...

  • something about music that makes me feel like my soul has been touched by another's.

  • Holy shit !!!!

  • 64 people are racists

  • @Augurae you are racist, the people don´t have to like this because the singers are blacks, they aren`t racists, just deafs

  • La mejor cancion de sudafrica, the best sing of sudafrica the best choir of the world.

  • Fantastic...I can listen to it all day!!!!

  • j'adore

  • nice so fantastic God bless

  • Beautiful voices, wonderful harmony.

Pity they're wasting time praising the racist god of their enemies whose worshippers made them second class citizens on their own ancestral lands.

But this is so everywhere in the African diaspora, both in colonized Africa and wherever native Africans were taken as chattel slaves.

Many black people remain devout christians when their race has experienced every form of evil at the hands of christians for half a millenium.

This is a habit to be kicked.

  • It reminds me on the christmas songs,i,don´t know if it is ,but i see the church where we all see that concert, and the one hundred candles shining, and we all stand hand in hand and heart to heart ,the world is filled with love and peace,I hope, the day will come soon....

There is only one way to receive eternal life and one name to believe in to receive salvation.

“the name of Jesus Christ . . . Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:10-12

  • @gennx30 - yeah, pizza party for the class on me once gennx30 is zapped. It is great practice for them doing i-net research finding the copyright holders of your illegal videos - sending emails informing them of your arrogant disrespect for thier legal rights & providing a link to yt making it easy for them to report you. It really is a wholesome exercise in teaching civic responsiblity to American youth; respect for the law; and of course, the legal power of a copyrights! regards!!! mensa man!

  • @gennx30 - thanks for the share - this is great. BTW - it is a sin and violation of youtube policy to steal other's videos - trim a little off the front -- and then claim it as your own (as you have done with PJ Harvey's Rid of Me). Then again, this is not the first time you've stolen other's work --now is it? It is entertaining watching you throw stones in the 2 strike youtube glass house you've built, If you've noticed a lot of hits from here, it's because I have a computer class on your case!

  • God already blessed us with great talent in SA. There is no genre South Africans can't play or sing. That's on top of the many styles developed inside the country! Our blend is unique! It is purely South Afrikan and we are proud of that! God continue to bless our land!
