  • Hi there..in the dessert recipe, do you use unsalted butter, salted butter or sweet butter??? Thanks

  • u only use the boulion

  • What about the chicken? Could you make a vid with the one WITH the chichen as well? Thank you.

  • P.S i mean shish kebab

  • Is the kebab better in turkey than it is in europe? BTW could a non-nationalist turk answer this question(for obvious reasons:))

  • @SFaily yes:) obviously:D at least they r much better than in Hungary:D

by the way, thanks for the recipe:) i wanted to make it with chicken and when i told my mom she was shocked:D she said she is not willing to eat a desert which contains meat:D

  • she made the un-authentic americanized version.. the real one has chicken in it and tastes amazing. the chicken is washed 20+ times in water and left overnight in water, so it loses any traces of chicken taste. It simply adds a stringy texxture to the dish. love it.

  • thanks, how can i get recipe for tavuk gögsu

  • This one is fake chicken breast..But it's better for vegetarians like me :)

  • This girl is making sweetened bechamel(white sauce).Adrop of brandy and you can use it for xmas pudding!!

  • She worded it wrong thats all. the name is yalanci tavuk gogsu. which is fake chicken breast. this recipe isnt suppose to have chicken in it, thats why its FAKE. but its very delicious! =]] thanks for the video!

  • Chicken breast? there's not even chicken in it. what is that?

  • I agree with you.She speaks in such a way, that is flirty like or really evokes different thoughts

  • here u go homemade sperm..

  • birakin tereciye tere satmayi

  • its good

  • bad bad bad...

  • So funny reading all the comments on here. There are many sides2 Turkiye n recipe made slighty different to another, I believe those who say it sould cantain Tavuk is correct and vise versa some make it with n some without thats all come on now..doesn't matter what side you stand on in this debate. I cook almost every culture food the way it's done traditionally first than I twist n turn bend side2side n create another creation so what if it becames a little different as long it tastes great.

  • So is there a tavuk gogsu recipe that's like I remember from my childhood in Istanbul?

  • oh girl. why don't you remove the 'Tavuk Gogsu / Chicken breast ' from your presentation....and please don't call it "how we do it back in Turkey'....this is rather insulting to all fellows who are actually make an effort for this desert.

Less talking, more due diligence to get heard, girl.....

  • Comment removed

  • This is very wrong. Tavukgogsu do include chicken breast.. WTF???

  • Do you know the food "Pachlalou Tzorba"?

    i can't find it anywhere..

  • where is the chicken

  • @gney85

In Turkish cooking a lot of dishes are named after what they look like. For example, the pastry sigara boregi, sigara means cigarette.

  • @asporkintheroad no this dish with chicken I have tasted one in turkey with Chicken breast

i love it ,some time we order it from turkey to qatar

  • @ozel

sorry i answer with my sister account im gney85

  • @gney85 theres not suppose to be any

  • @Rzznklove

there are chicken i have tasted

  • There is the real thing and the mock version this is the MOCK Tavuk Gogsu, which is essentially a Blanc Manger with cinnamon.

  • Co'mon dont mislead people with your fake receipts

  • its only called chicken brest just form the looks of it :)

but my god does it taste good

i just told my mum to make some for me right now :)

  • no, this is fake tavuk gogsu, infact it's made with real chicken brest

  • No, this recipe is the most basic milk pudding - "Muhallebi." When the "Muhallebi" is browned on the bottom it becomes "Kazandibi" then add chicken breast and you have "Tavuk göğsü kazandibi" which definitely has chicken breast (that has been cooked & shredded extremely fine) added into it.

  • this desert has some chicken breast in it but many turkish people dont event know this (i was one of them ). they think only the name is chicken breast.

  • You'r wrong boy

  • I think she forgot the add chicken breast.

she made a vegetarian kind :))

  • *lol

  • @canimulkem lol

  • Excuse me.. where is the chicken breastsin the ingredients? This is just a normal milk pudding.

  • just its name chicken breat :) lol it seems like a chicken breat:D

  • i just came from Istanbul and every night I ate one! all of them had chicken in them

  • interesting i live in istanbul since i was born.i have never eaten it like you said

  • i love chicken beast but also sakızlı muhallebi is very good

  • nice, my mom is turkish egyptian she knows all of em

  • she looks like my lebanses friend ,,,,

    guzel

  • ha ha, somebody is getting angry!

  • definetly mate! some guys dont understand the obstacles of living abroud and maintaining a decent life style. one of these obstacles are logically the language. thats why some fucking local dudes which, anyway, merely managed to finish their high school degree claim to be more worth than any immigrant.

  • "living abroud"?!?!... First of all I am not a local dude, I am an immigrant as well and I have a masters degree. "Maintaining a decent life style" ... you sound like B.....You should take some English classes. Proper language skills go with a decent life style!

  • by the way...i was doing a general statement and not talking about you . why did u get offended?

  • "that what we call it in my house"

  • I know this recipe-it's really called "Yalanci Tavuk Gogsu" Chicken is used in Turkey because the chicken is so fresh that when it's boiled,it sheds off the bone so fine that you can't feel the texture. Here in the states you cannot find chicken that fresh so this recipe is often used instead. It's still called Tavuk Gogsu but with out the Tavuk! Many women in the turkish community use this recipe instead.

  • I know this recipe-it's really considered "Yalanci T

  • But this is not tavuk gogsu. Tavuk gogsu is supposed to have chicken in it.

  • "....put it in the fridge and let it sit for 6 hours, which I made one from this morning"???? What does this suppose to mean!?Please learn English!!!!

  • hi, this tavuk goysu recipe is not real, you forgot the essential ingredient, the chicken! Plus, the weight of the ingredients is wrong, too much flour and not enough butter, so the whole thing became like paste and wasn't fluid at all as we can see on the video.

  • Well, as far as I know you really have to put a little bit sliced boiled chicken to the pudding and also a piece of "GUMMI ARABICUM". If you really want to do Turkish Cuisine, then please do it right...

  • Comon honey we need you to be on foodnetwork, go girl, turkish girls are the best, Turkish Rachel Ray.

  • no its not a joke and prepared correctly it is delicious.

  • actually every time i have it in turkey (and my husband is turkish and a chef we own a turkish restaurant) there is a layer of finely shredded boiled chicken in between the pudding layers. I have never had it without the chicken It is one of my favorite desserts.

  • Ah, I've just seen this response after my question, below. I am glad it does contain chicken. It sounds delicious!

  • I think you forgot to ad the pulled boiled chicken to the pudding this looks more like muhallebi no??????

  • thats just the name of it, its not actually made of chicken- its a sweet

  • This is very interesting. I came across Tavuk göğsü on Wikipedia after looking for blancmange recipes. I then went looking for Tavuk göğsü recipes and all of those (in English) I found contained boiled chicken breast. Is it a joke for tourists?
