@CotDaTroll Yes, the Marimba has perfect pitch because of how it was carved to make each bar, but the player has perfect (absolute) pitch - meaning he can hear a song or someone playing notes and he knows which notes were being played.
@StankySwank Yup, when I was in highschool it was. during marching season the class is split into Pit and Drumline. But during concert season It's split into 1st, 2nd, and 3rd band.
This is pretty spot on, from playing it by ear. Props to the guy who was playing marimba, and anyone that's commenting "He sucks, He missed that note" GO SUCK A DICK. If you are commenting something like that, then where is your video of you playing this song perfectly, in the original key, with no messup and perfect technique?

Maybe that parts your referring to about having flats and sharps are the harmonies he adds in?
