Spike does it again he goes straight for the juggler vein, and takes no prisoners. He forces African Americans to take a closer look at them selves as always and at the same time makes the rest of americas demographics to do the same. Bamboozled is ''a piece of garbage''? Not quite how I think you mean. But for Lee to have made commentary on modern minstrelsy any other way would have been too didactic-- too preachy. He had the courage though to revisit a sensitive American history.  I did film and television history and I don't remember learning so much about the hardware we saw in the film-- caricatures-- made after the characters of select 'black-face' shows. The film made people deeply FEEL.

I think we as a people need to watch we endorse and buy into and put out to the world because all of us can be bamboozled. I also think that we use "getting money" as an excuse to act a fool, when we know better. We have to take personal responsibility for our actions But spike lee is the man for this film. it hard to watch at times but it is for good reason.

@KenyaFilmHouseComm I think Bamboozled is Spike's less important work, he should've made this film about what he thinks is the modern minstrel shows, "rap music", that would've made for a far greater and more important work than this poorly written, laughably bad, and embarrassing piece of garbage. What happened to the mastermind behind "25th Hour", "Do The Right thing", "Inside Man", etc?
