Your correct, this should have been huge, it such a catchy song, they just didnt promote him well enough. The sound on this is better again, sounds like a Nashville recording session and your lead work is sensational.

Fellas, a fine effort on the Rockabilly classic... also makes great Bluegrass (sorry, just couldn't help but do the video response) which proves a good song works in all genres.

The bassist won a Juno in '64 (Canadian Grammy) with The Esquires - He's played alongside Roy Orbison, The Dave Clark Five, Jimi Hendrix, and is a member of the rockabilly hall of fame (Clint Hierlihy). He actually saw Buddy Holly live at the palladium in London in 1958 - he's that old! LOL

Oh yes, I know all about the Juno.. that is a wonderful honor he received! Wow, he's the real deal!! I was thinking how good he is and how happy he seems and of course because because he has played with some amazing performers and he also connects with this music. A Buddy fan as well, of course he is... he wouldn't be able to play it with such love if he wasn't. How lucky for him to have seen Buddy live!!!! Thank you for telling me

COOL. That's what I like, making a request of the band and right away they play it, and very well. One more, now I forget what the name of the song was but it was the original B side of Rave On. Unfortunately, it didn't get much airplay so it was kind of forgotten. Great song though. I believe some advertisement used it last year in one of their television spots, but alas it suffered the same fate. The commercial was pulled after two weeks.
