Col. Jessup is 98% correct. You cannot have both sides. He is right. The problem is that a Col would never be involved witht an issue that low. The movie does not make sense.

This will never occur in real life. No way will a U.S Marine Col. ever loose is composure like that, nor will he be spoken to in that manner, by anyone. This type of incident would be handled at the company level. The company 1st Sgt and battalion Sgt Maj would have been as far as it goes.
