When, you Seen /Heard the Chambers Bros. You Felt Your Roots , below you and The Heavens shouted down .Was, lucky to see them in 69' and they Tore it up..and got to say Hello to Lester and Willie; Never will Forget Them.. Peace..
1968, was a good year. Remember seeing this live on a Saturday afternoon TV show (can't remember the show). The Chamber's sing this song like no one else can. And, they sing it live. WOW!!!!
thank you so much for posting this...there was one of the same a year or so ago, but it vaporized from youtube. A most awesome version of the timeless classic.
Love Curtis Mayfield and many of the people who were truly inspired by him. I guess I always knew they took this on but never checked out their version. Very credible. Sweet!

The sound of their harmonized voices is from heaven. This is by far my favorite version.

This should be preserved in the Library of Congress and any music/cultural treasury as how it's done. Too great!

Of all the versions of this great song, I like this one best. Got it on the first Chambers Brothers album.

The best...no one ever has done this song better! Where are they now? Music is not made like the Chamber Brothers. Thank you for posting it!!!

That is, indeed, Brian Keenan on drums. The brothers used to call him "the white sheep of the family."

Johnny Castellano was palying lead guitar for them in the later years. Johnny has a good pair of hands

The song in this clip is the best rendition by any artist so far, in my opinion.
