  • Saw these guy in Vancouver in early 92'.Awesome freakin' show.My drunk ass ended up talking Frank Starr's ear off for a while.I told him they were going to be huge. They would have except for some unfortunate circumstances.RIP Frankie, you had one helluva set of pipes! Long live the FOUR HORSEMAN!!

  • The funny thing is, I had a memory that there was a band that I really liked, and I had lost them. I stumbled across this song and realized this was that band.

  • One of my all time fave hard rock bands. Got all their CDs

  • Overrated.

  • @cosmicheretic yeah the millions they've earnd are absolutely undeserved.....

  • white trash music

  • @cheapcape At least they don't sing about smoking weed and getting caught by high school teachers for smoking a cigarette in the toilet of school, or about "all a dem bitches" they bone, by wich they mean they watch porn everyday. These guys just have lives, they do what they want to do, and make MUSIC, they don't tell about their regular sundaymorning, they sing about real stuff, and they sing. So now go cry in the corner, asshole.

  • @Corrosiv902 you are rightous bro jesus christ have mercy on u

  • Hey Dave. If you ever want to play again, as the 4 Horsemen, call me (250)357-2525 We have met several times, when Frank & Kevin were still alive. I did lights4U at many venues in Vancouver BC. My voice is very similar to Frankie Stars & I know all the lyrics.I also write music & lyrics. You are a wicked guitar player & should keep the band alive. Spilling a drop of beer for Frank & Dimwit our absent friends!

  • More Hard-Edged Country!

  • Yup this band ended too soon, like many. I have all their stuff, good old rock'in music. If you like it, check out Airbourne, the Four Horsemen of today ;-)

  • @beckleybrewhouse airbourne will never be the Four Horsemen..they are an AC/DC wannabe band at best..although the lead singer could probably pull it off

  • this is raw excellent rock

  • this one kinda reminds me of jackyl or brother kane....very good!

  • @MrMikeboy41

Yeah, but this was before jackyl, or brother kane, I think that these guys were way before their time, and very underrated!

  • This band never got the credit they were due, but I never forgot them, what an awesome Rock Talent!

  • good fukn tunz

  • Drinkin' beer and more beer and more beer to this song is.... easy.

  • Whhoooow

  • HELL YEAH!

If you've been hurt by love before

You don't think you can take anymore

I think it's about time you evened the score

    Let's hit the door

    NOBODY SAID IT WAS EASY!!

  • ive heard of em, still got there ep

  • Greatest rock band nobody has ever heard of :p

  • @OtisDriftwoody amen brotha!

  • @OtisDriftwoody Really? I'm from Belgium and have the "Nobody said it was easy" album almost 20 years now and found "Getting pretty good at barely getting by" after years searching on ebay, from a German. I am more a metal man but this rocks a whole lot of headbangers to, old school headbangers, But they are indeed Top, I don't play music but have some friends in bands, from blues to metal, and they all want to buy the cd's, but those are sacred to me and not for sale, never

  • one if the best band of rock and roll ever!!!! A music for men and women who love real men!!!!!

  • i drove to south america in 96 from canada, and listened to this album about 56 times at least, always wondered what happened to them...! great driving music

  • Anybody got any live clips of Frank and the boys?

  • drank many a beer to this tune. Nobody said was easy!

  • Way Underrated

  • fave song all time

  • I still wear my Four Horsemen "Known by Many, Loved by NONE" tour shirt. Go find one of those!! TFH Ruled, Rick Rubin produced the 1st album, sucks the lead singer died on his Harley on Sunset Strip!!

  • Dimwit on the drums! He was with legendary punk group DOA when I saw them in Portland, Maine in 1986. I bought the album "Let's Wreck The Party" from them and got the whole band to sign it. Dimwit drew 2 crossed drumsticks and wrote "The Good, The Bad and Me. Great fucking drummer!

  • good drinking tune!!!!!!

  • Fucking A- i was fortunate enuff to see em in a club in okc and it was badass

  • Ive always liked these guys. Ive always thought they were a fusion of Southern Rock & AC/DC.

  • @PineyCreekGhost 100% no doubt about it

  • 10 STUPID monkey's can't rock!!!

  • Well thank god we all have good taste!!!! Awesome band!!

  • the greatest f__kin band of all time. R.I.P Frankie

  • Esta banda me revento la cabeza en una epoca y no deja de sorprenderme.

    Esto es Rock and Roll!

  • I have all 3 of their CDsTheir first one had 4 songs on it-Welfare Boogie,Shelly, Highschool Rock n Roller and Hard Lovin Man.I would think an original is rare to find.Their 2nd CD ABSOULUTLY FUCKIN ROCKS from start to finish.GUITAR ROCK at its finest. One of the most under-rated and unappreciated bands ever.If you like this music check out a band on MY SPACE from Calgary called STAMPEDE QUEEN-A Night at the Cock Fights. Its more gut-wrenching,whiskey-drinking rock n roll.Rock In Peace Frank n Ken

  • Nuthin much you can say other than Frank Starr exuded rock and roll.

My lord I LOVE this album. So straight ahead it just aint funny.

    Thats how its done kids.

  • This song saved Rock N Roll in the 90's,

  • 19 years and still better than all the shite in the "pop" charts!

  • Rock'N'Roll

  • Play it loud wear it proud!

  • Comment removed

  • Missing good ole rock n' roll

  • I LUV this fuking song.

  • this is badass and i'm lucky to have found out about these guys--singer's got pipes, kinda like mellencamp with more balls--too bad about the timing--two years earlier and they would have hit the jackpot--regardless true rock n' roll never dies.

  • what a fucking great song

  • Great song, wish they would make a video without the gayness for this though......gods i hate that!

  • this song kicks ass!!!!

  • Brilliant song, RIP Frank Starr xxx

  • Great Song, ol School Shit!

  • Blues Southern Metal!

  • God damn the Horsemen's music aged well...more than I can say for a lot of bands from that era. Still the best!

  • Frankie's been gone for 11 years now. June 18, 1999

I miss you Frankie... Your glass will always be full, my friend...

  • @tjsmom723 How did he pass away?

  • This band Fucking Rocks!!! Rock n Roll motherfuckers!

  • Found my old cd the other night cranked it to 11 and listened to it all...my god its still just great straight up rock n roll

  • the greatest song ever

  • Used to play this song live, and it always got the crowd going wild.

    Great music. Timeless.

  • I remember when this album came out, I thought they sounded like a cross between The Black Crowes and Junkyard, but nowadays I like em a whole lot better but the CD is hard to get for under 20 bucks. shoulda kept it. Good Music.

  • Rockin was their business and they were good..

    R.I.P † Dimwit.....R.I.P † Frankie

When you get a this combination of players, you can make magic..Rock and Roll at its best.. Thanks

  • wow i fergot all about these fellas,,,,great pure rock with extra pulp

  • Grunge robbed us of more great music by this band. This was just great raw rock.Their second album was a bit more polished, which I didn't care for.Yet,it wasn't as pretentious as above said grunge =P

    ronald mc(sic)donald

  • If I had to pick my fav top ten tunes ..this would be in there ...everytime

  • Why is it all good bands end way to soon? these guys rocked while they were together!

  • @bud4207 too many died! RIP Frank & Dimwit

  • thx 4 this, m8!

  • yeahhh!!!! awesome PARTY TUNE!!!!!

  • sounds like the black crowes jealous again

  • Which, funnily enough, sounds remarkably like "Miss Judys Farm" from The Faces album, "A Nod Is As Good As A Wink."

  • F'N BRILLIANT

  • Actually it isn't. Just the band and engineer Brendan O'Brien. The clappping and cheering at the end is Slayer. (They were making Seasons in the Abyss next door.) Only guest backing vocals on the album were Ian Astbury on Rockin' is ma Business. (You can hear it really clearly if you listen.)

  • isn't that Jason Macmaster at the end of the song (not in video) i thought he did the guest vocals

  • Def. sounds like Master McMaster!

  • 10 years since Frank left this world

    RIP MAESTRO!!!

desde Chile se te extraña demasiado!!!

  • Jeez...the song ended, and now I'm hearing "My Tired Wings"....not sure if that was the order on the album, or just the order I used to listen to them cranked all the way up at 3 AM on Saturday nights....I do know me & my rottweiler used to play our version of soccer/hockey to this song in the living room...broke many a lamp that way....

  • I played this entire CD into DUST back in the day. Damn good stuff. When rock and roll rocked.

  • I was the bald guy slamdancing in the hallway. I was much younger back then. LOL

  • I heard that you can get a dvd at their website that has all their videos. Also heard that all their records are being reissued aith additional material next month. How sick is that?

  • they r from muscatine iowa

  • welfare was just a demo EP...not sure if there was a video....as I remember it this was there first video.

  • Actually, there *is* a Welfare Boogie video, filmed in 1989. This is actually our 3rd video (2nd was a different (( imo better )) version of Nobody Said it was Easy that we filmed in Mexico with Adam Dubin directing. FYI, *all* our videos are on our "Left For Dead" DVD.

    peace,

    Dave

  • Sure I remember seeing it on Headbangers Ball when I was a kid and I remember the VJ apologising because it was not"upto" the usual MTV standard .Cheers Dave love your guitar playing on the Horsemen records influenced my own playing a lot,Rocking is my Business was one of the first riffs I ever learnt,Classic!!

  • saw this band at Rock n Roll Heaven in Toronto in summer of 91. It seemed there was some dissonance between Frank and Haggis at the time. Now that's a real rock n roll band!

  • der song is geil

    ich liebe ihn

  • this is rock and roll

  • doubleintruder fuck you thats my step brother

  • Great band, good song, typical cookie-cutter video from the early 90's when all videos looked exactly the same. Someone should re-cut a better video for this gem. Too bad about this band's fate.

  • Music videos are bullshit anyway..

As soon as we got MTV it wasn't just enough for a band to have a great sound, they had to be look good & be actors & dancers as well..

Thats when the decline began, because you don't look at music you listen to it..

  • Wicked upload!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Rock at it's finest!

  • What a great sound - thanks for uploading this one... !

    Great band =).

  • sono 12 anni che conosco questo guppo grazie ad un AMICO che me li ha fatti conoscere in un periodo della nostra vita comune che mai potremo dimenticare....

  • as a long time wannnabe drummer...nobody pounded skins like Dim...Thanks and RIP brother.

  • Great song, love it

  • always loved this one

  • I also recomend, Rhino Bucket, Cry Of Love, Electric Angels, The Throbs, Rock City Angels

    and The Graveyard Train.

  • This is one of my favorite bands after AC/DC, they sort of remind me of them, there basic rock sound is like early AC/DC. It's too bad I found out about these guys after they dissolved. I would of loved to hear them live. They are one of the true Rock N Roll bands.

  • The first time I herd this song, I was like dang, this is Rock n Roll.

  • this tune really hit me hard the first time I heard it and nothing's changed many listens later since 91. Dimwit and Frank may be gone but definitely not forgotten! You motherfuckers kicked ass!!!!

  • With you there...many listens later and still hasnt got old

  • Thanks for uploading this jewel.

Used to hear this album on and on and on in the past.

    Good memories...

  • Fucking GOLD.

  • Thanks Kings of None! I remember this one from my friend Joe!

  • Ahhh...Edmonton 1992, rode hard then, love this band. Just read about Frank I wondered why they didn't have anything else. Great Vids, Thanx for the memories.

  • Brilliant band...Frank very sadly missed!!

One of my favourite albums of all time...still magic!!!!

  • I am devastated and am writing this through my tears. Frank and I grew up together and I knew him more than most. we had gone our separate ways years ago but we never forgot each other. i still have a picture of him at my sweet 16. i heard something happened to him but never quite knew what. can someone please tell me where he is at please I would be most grateful. Thank you!

  • "In November of 1995, while riding his motorcycle down Sunset Strip, Frank Starr is involved in an accident that proves fatal. A woman, apparently drunk, pulls her car out in front of Starr. With no time to avoid her car, the resulting collision reputedly sends him flying some distance and though Starr was a known hot rodder and liked to ride throwing caution to the wind, he did happen to have a helmet on....

  • It couldn't have helped much as he suffered massive head trauma leaving him comatose for the next four years. In the end, eventually coming out of the coma, Frank was left on life support with virtually no motor skills, unable to walk or talk. He passes away on June 18th 1999." -Very sad... He is greatly missed.

  • fa parte di uno dei migliori gruppi mai ascoltati. Peccato per la fine che hanno fatto........Comunque la musica creata è fantastica!!!

  • I think this is one of they're best songs,,, Love this shit!!! Man!!!

Reminds me of Poison and Whitesnake and stuff!!!!!

  • whoever said this reminded them of stupidass poison or whitesnake needs to broaden their musical horizons. this is rock n roll

whitesnake and poison is sissy shit garbage with stupid clothes and stupid hair.

  • More like AC/DC meets The Black Crowes

  • I seen these guy's open for Lynard Skynard in 91 or 92 in Jacksonville Florida!!!! They were GREAT!!!!!! Wish they would do some new stuff!!!
