I wanna move away from just playing songs and mixing them with a controller. All my friends say APC 40, but I saw a video of an MPD 24 and liked it. What exactly is the difference?

Your devices are really amazing, can you tell us if what's the name of the instrument in the right side of your MPD and the one that you are scratching?

@grandchaser277 Next to MPD is an Akai APC40 which basically is Ableton Live controller. For scratching I've used Vestax VCI300 but I just replaced it with Numark V7 which has this real turntable feeling.

Hi. nice. Is the APC40 compatable with Windows7. I checked the spec on Akai website but it just says XP and Vista. Surely it should work on Windows7

@eastwood946 Hi. I'm using mac, but APC is a plug and play midi device that has no drivers to install. If they say APC40 will work with XP & Vista it also should work with W7- in theory, so I can't be 100% sure. Try to ask somone else. Good luck.
