@KeithWasHere1 I'm sure that the Lumen Lab machines are great, but the two-month lead time was a deal-breaker for me. I've had my Zen for three weeks now and I'm having a blast. If I'd gone with the Lumen Lab machine, I'd still be waiting.

@espiforenque what kind of motor,driver,controller and power supply setup do you have for yours.? im thinking of getting this,but i want it to be fast,,,,was going to go with a Geckog540 driver/controller ,some Nema 23 or 34 motors with bare min of 900oz in....an antec power supply to boot.

those Nema 17 engines look like they dont cut the mustard.can this system be adapted to use Nema 23 or 34 or Vexta step motors?

I found the Zen Toolworks CNC Carving Machine DIY Kit Model 1212 for $599.95 in Amazon.... I looks GREAT .Does any body knows what kind of power supply and driver card I need to get if I but it ?

I just ordered one of these from Amazon, and I ordered a stepper driver, breakout board and powersupply kit from probotix website for $199 for the basic 3 axis kit. The driver/breakout kit lets you drive the cnc machine via a parallel port hooked up to a PC. THen you can use EMC2 on linux for free or Mach3 on windows for a reasonable price to drive the machine via the parallel port. I can't wait until it all arrives I can can put it together.

I've built the kit and added the spindle motor kit on. I'm just waiting for my electronics from Probotix to make it work. Hopefully next week...
