Battle Royale To Be Released in North America in 2 Blu-ray Editions

I've seen Battle Royale on DVD but I don't own it! It's a great movie:) I'm trying to get a good price on Amazon but the bids always go higher than what I want to pay for it!! Can't wait to watch your review when you get it :)

I already own the Blu ray release from Arrow, but I want to see the sequel, so will pick up the 4 disc set. Battle Royale is amazing by the way and I think you will enjoy it alot.

No problem, man! Sweet that you got the Arrow video release, while I would love to get that release, I can't afford the expensives of importing from Europe or Japan. Once I get it, I'll would love to review it. =d

Oh yes what a great movie, I have it on Blu ray and Steelbook on Dvd aswell, wow what a great movie that was. Surprised Hollywood never remade this movies.

Well, it would be difficult to remake a film such as Battle Royale plus it'll probably won't get a rating from the MPAA ( the American version of the BBFC). I can't wait to see it once I get the Ultimate Edition.

Fantastic film! I was excited when I heard Anchor Bay was releasing it! I'll be picking up the 4 Disc Collector's set personally, instantly one of my most anticipated Blu's of the year. Great news update man! :)

I'll be getting the set on Blu-ray as well.

There were a lot of rumors behind why the first film never got licensed back when it was still popular. Some were related to the Columbine massacre & others were related to Toei being unreasonable (as usual). Either way, i'm glad they both got picked up. I'm more surprised that there's a dub which may explain why it has taken them over a year to release them here.

I think the dub was in the Arrow Video set as well. At any rate, I can't to get the Ultimate Edition.

I got the Tartan DVD release of Battle Royale way back in 2003 and it was extremely hard to get hold of back then.Now as the film is more popular its much easier to find thanks to Arrow. Glad that the USA are finally getting it, its a great film.
