He never said he was a vegan, nor a vegetarian. He is just putting out his point that we should stop cruelty to animals, in this case, adopting dogs and giving them a good home. Speaking of which, I'm a true vegetarian and I'm fat, not just saying it. So you can't say anything about fat vegans/vegetarians, because some people are just heavy set, without a choice.
