The Green Party interests me a lot, but some of its principles seem contradictory. For example, Greens believe everyone should have a say, yet Greens support national healthcare. Doesn't national healthcare unavoidably trample on the wishes of those who are against it?
"If you're runnin for office with out no TV/If you don't get big money/ You get a defeat/ Corporations and broadcasters make you dead meat/ You been taught in this country there's speech that is free/ But free don't get you no spots on TV/If you want to have senators not on the take/ Then give them free air time/ They won't have to fake."
It depends what you consider a lot of money. Prices change but $10,000 for a prime time ad on CNN nationally. $50,000 buys you every show from 6pm-1pm.
A mid size city can blanket for a few thousand dollars and a small city for a few hundred. In NYC I've Colbert Report for $1500.
We have Green candidates all over the country that run TV ads. Given the reach, it's not a lot of money.

Green Party needs to do more TV ads and run them. It helps their credibility. You can't gain credibility with most people by handing out flyers.
