Republicans are re-electing Obama this coming November. Mainly because no one in their right mind is going to vote for Romney, Gingrich or Santorum unless they are people that can't think for themselves. Its sad that people are just plain lazy and don't actually know the facts of these leading candidates. Cannabis is going to be legalized and not because of any particular candidate but because the majority of Americans want it and this is a Democratic country...isn't it?

i hate all the Canaanites to be honest. everyone that has a policy i like, there's 3 i disagree with. if u can vote do it. if u cant get there do an absentee ballot. cally could have easily gotten weed legalized if the all the people that wanted to vote and could vote, it would have been a fucking landslide. until the day we make that kind of mark, the mark they cant hide, we will have to hope for a miracle
@imnickim The Cali voters I talked to. As I am very involved. from dispensaries to caring about the direction of the USA. The deal with Cali's proposal was a huge tax effecting everyone. Even the guy with one plant in his back yard. Whether or not he could grow or not. The Bill was written poorly. Coupled with keeping it illegal keeps with price up. Whatever a Caanaanites is?
I'd be all about Ron Paul if it wasn't for the fact that he didn't believe in: public highways, public education, college grants, protecting the environment, workplace safety, separation of church and state, social security, medicare, etc... pot's great and all but he should NOT be running this country! REPOST THIS!
The ONLY way to legalize marijuana in this country, will be to VOTE in, the folks that will get it done. Like Ron Paul. I will vote for Ron Paul even though it is pretty obvious he has no chance in hell of getting elected. But it will be one more vote that the Obama's and Romney's of this country will not get.
"...not consistent with American values." this country was founded on hemp. george washington grew hemp. ever heard of hemp for victory in WWII? i know that's a slightly different issue, but the fact that industrial hemp is outlawed in the US is 100% illogical and only in place because it benefits petrochemical companies like DuPont. as far as medical or recreation use, these 'american values' he's referring too must be circa between the 1930's and 1950's...
I'd be all about Ron Paul if it wasn't for the fact that he didn't believe in: public highways, public education, college grants, protecting the environment, workplace safety, separation of church and state, social security, medicare, etc... pot's great and all but he should NOT be running this country!
Ron Paul said he will remediatly stop the war on drugs effective day 1 when he's in office!!!! Not to mention he will cut a trillion dollars in government spending!!!
A+ also for GaryJohnson2012 Libertarian running for president also everyone seems to not mention he will be on the ballot in all 50 states he has a clean record; Down with fed; legalization thanks for posting!
Not consistent with Americans who like to control other people and stick their nose in your business values. Americans who believe in freedom, liberty and truth don't feel that way. When will some of these people get a clue? Gingrich, Romney and Santorum to ignorant or controlling and never gonna get my vote. Because if you don't have these values as a presidential candidate then you have no value to America as a leader.
"...not consistent with American values." Ha, what about the value of freedom, liberty, and choice. Smoking week hurts nobody except possibly the user, but even that harm is considerably less than many prescription drugs & alcohol. The "Gateway" argument completely looks past the fact that for most people alcohol is the biggest gateway drug. You can't be pro-alcohol and anti-cannabis anymore. It's just stupid.
i wish i could vote for Ron Paul but i live in Upstate NY. NY state is mostly a republican state HOWEVER New York City is mostly democratic. so since we still have this antiquated stupid electoral college to select presidents, my vote for Ron Paul will not count. that is why i don't ever vote for presidents.... my vote does not count!!! we need to get rid of the electoral college!!!
When it comes to views on just marijuana how is Hunstman getting a B-? Sure Ron Paul says he'll end the drug war and such but his policy on marijuana would let the states decided on how they want to deal with it which is exactly what Huntsman did. And Perry Said nothing about ending the federal prohibition on weed he just said he wouldn't make the states enforce federal law so the DEA can still do what they want. So... This is a little off to me with respect to what they said in the video.
To tell the truth, I don't like any one in this coming up run. There is something about everyone I just don't like. If I was to pick tho, I got with Ron Paul....but there again I don't like all his ideas.
But how many of them that got Bs would do what Obama did...just fucking lie, and do the opposite. Anyone not voting for Ron Paul has lost their mind. Get involved, be at the polls..prevent cheating...RP 2012
@ajohn47708 go read some local papers in Iowa. Lots of funny business, which happens anyway. All sides need people at polls to insure that NO ONE pollutes that. Both sides have rich history of voter fraud....from intimidation, to voting dead people, to removing ballots....
Both Romney and Perry are strongly in favor of the tenth amendment to the Constitution which would castrate the feds and leave the legal powers to the states. Even if Romney has no like for the cannabis plant he would not be in a position to oppose what any state did if we get back to what the Founding Fathers wanted, free individual states with a limited federal government that could not impose it's dictatorial will on the public as it does now.
Although I believe that Ron Paul is consistant, sincere and well-informed on this subject, I cannot back him due to other issues that need addressing in our country. Staving off a full-blown depression is more important in the bigger picture and I want my candidate to offer some viable and clear to the layman ideas on how to do that. Still, Ron Paul seems to be the best possible pick to represent the GOP in the next election.
@CelestialTeaRoom Handing out money to people who should be bankrupt didn't stop the depression, undermining the economic system probably made it worse. Go look up the Austrian school of economics, they predicted the problems, have the solutions and Ron Paul is one of their adherents. "Mises Institute" or Peter Schiff would be a good start. They explain things clearly, so don't be overwhelmed. Cutting government, taxes and regulations can only help, which is Ron's platform.
@CelestialTeaRoom But Ron Paul has the best plan to turn the economy around. His economic views may be very different from what you are used to, but read a book of his before you dismiss him for his economic views. If you go to mises d o t org's literature section, you can find Ron Paul amongst all the authors. You can download a few of his books for free. Gold, Peace, and Prosperity may give a nice overview of his stances in his own words w/o having to spend any money.
Please, for the love of no god, do not vote for Ron Paul just because of his stance on Marijuana. In case you didn't remember, Obama changed his mind as well.
@Alytoner I sincerely hope people do not vote purely because of his stance on Marijuana alone. But because they have decided that he is the best possible choice for a leader, also someone who has been saying the same thing for 20+ is probably not going to change his stance.
@Alytoner Oh please, Paul isn't going to "change his mind", he's been standing up adamantly and fearlessly against the drug war for decades. Timothy Leary even threw him a fundraising party for his 1988 presidential campaign for Pete's sake. Please start doing your homework before you try to influence other people on serious decisions like this.
I would love for that low life scum to elaborate on what values he feels it is appropriate for an american to have. Being white and married to the opposite sex are no doubt high on his list. Side note: I am still in disbelief that Rick Perry just hopped ahead of Obama in my book.
I have to admit I'm surprised at Rick Perry's stance. Ron Paul's been saying it for over a decade though, and he wants to end prolonged wars. That should be enough to vote for him alone!
Yeah, I know marijuana acceptance is an important issue to alot of people, me included, but I hope one of these clowns isn't elected on the swing of votes for it
@vegassilenttype And what clown do you hope is elected? I'll tell you this, Ron Paul is no clown and has voted consistently inline with the constitution for 30 years!
