First, this song is not originally by Janis Joplin, but by Erma Franklin (Aretha's elder sister).

The only version of this song I love is the original by Erma Franklin. I like Janis's cover just fine, and I think Joss Stone and Melissa Etheridge did a great job on it. I don't think this chick's voice is powerful enough for this song.
