And Eisenhower did that LITERALLY to 1,7 million surrendered soldiers. They were collected to fields and surrounded by guards with machine guns. Those of their families who came to help them with clothes and food were shot to death, and when the soldiers starved there to death, their bodies were not collected.

Indeed this is a paradox. The Russians actually did the hardest work in defeating the Nazis. Yet they imported the Soviet system into eastern Europe and occupied them from 1945 to the early 1990s! In the case of "liberation" this meant a similar totalitarian society for the eastern Europeans as the Nazism was.

Many buildings were completely unusable and were torn down. Particularly on East Berlin where they didn't have much money as in West Berlin. But the result over the tragedy was nice, indeed: a modern city, not only a playground full of old buildings, but with modern, more exciting stuff as well.

And Eisenhower did that LITERALLY to 1,7 million surrendered soldiers. They were collected to fields and surrounded by guards with machine guns. Those of their families who came to help them with clothes and food were shot to death, and when the soldiers starved there to death, their bodies were not collected.
This is true, sadly. The western Allied descended into the Nazi level, while the Red Army already was there.

Only 20% of Berlin's housing stock survived the war intact; 20% was totally destroyed and as you can see, the other 60% was in various conditions of destruction.
The bombers of the Great Britain and the US did most of this; Soviet shelling and katyushas made good work of the balance.

We did not choose Stalin as our ally in WW2. Adolf made that choice for us! @MHJforPrussia About what Polish government are you talking? About the government is shamefully fled, leaving their people after the german invasion? About what annexd countries are you talking? Maybe you do not know that on the Munich Agreement, the State of Poland in October 1938, supported nazi Germany in the regulative claims against Czechoslovakia and annexed part of the Czech and Slovak lands?

annexed countries to the ussr by force are: Poland,Livonia, Lithuania, Estonia, part of Finland
the ussr is highly hipocrytical, its the same as nazi germany
