haha...this was on my b-day. I love WXYZ 7. I always watch it. And for those who think they exaggerate the weather, I've always thought quite the opposite about Jerry Hodak. He seems to be calm and relaxed even when we're getting severe weather. I love Channel 7's anchors and reporters, maybe because I've watched them so long and know them all! Thanks for the vid.

Erm...you dont think that it could be that meteorologists cant accuately predict weather? I think that your ignorance is kind of lame. Jerry Hodak is probably the best-known weatherman around here. His forecasts are usually pretty good. And people get pretty pissed if they get snow they dont hear about. Even driving around in freshly-fallen 1 inch snow is difficult. Good lord, are you even FROM Michigan?

Ha! Your comment made my day! Bet you were impressed by the 8-11" prediction the other day that ended up being 2"!! I think people get "pretty pissed" about pathetic attempts to forecast the weather and spending an entire newscast talking about 2" of snow. You're simple enough to be impressed and entertained.

Yeah, I'm from Michigan and remember a time when 2/4/7 actually did quality news reporting instead of trying to scare people for ratings.

LOL, they really over-do it. I agree. It's awful. Is there any other news going on? Snow is not "breaking news" - it's Michigan, of course it's gonna snow! All the news has been lately is Kwame-sex-scandal and weather. I'm sure there are shootings or something else they can report.

You got it. Detroit TV news is in the crapper. When I was in high school, I thought about being a journalist. Now, I just laugh my butt off at how stupid most of their reporting is. Just pay close attention to some of these people - especially the morning personalities. I am not convinced they have college educations...espeically these traffic moron girls. I loved the search they did on Channel 4 for traffic reporters - what a bunch of idiots!!!

Detroit news is only going to get worse. Detroit is no longer a top 10 market so the quality we were used to in the past is gone, and in comparison, of course this is going to suck.
