wow that was interesting... I always wondered what the cartilage looked like under there... though the blood makes it feel a little weird at first. It's kinda scary how much of an art it is to make your nose match your face.. Though I do agree they could have done a better job with her's.

I just got rhinoplasty/septoplasty/turbin­ectomy yesterday, and a chin implant yesterday... I'm telling you it's not that bad... REALLY! I'm not in any kind of pain right now, just my skin feels tight around my chin... and my nose is stuffy b/c of how swollen it is. My only complaint is that my face feels huge. If you are having doubts about doing it, DON'T! I'm telling you, you will be happy in the end! :)

lol good question. They try not to freak you out when you are going into the O.R. Therefore, they usually just put you on the operating bed and monitor your blood pressure and heart rate. The anesthesist then sticks a little needle in your arm and you go to sleep. After this happens the fun stuff begins. They stick the tube down your throat and get all the equipment ready they didn't want you to see so you don't get scared. Furthermore, they always put your drip in while you're asleep.

He IS wearing gloves. It's alittle hard to see but if you look at where his finger nails would be you can definately tell he has gloves on. I had this surgery done about 15 years ago and I have to say it was horrible! I still to this day have tingling and numbness at the tip of my nose from the severed nerves that never healed.
