  • I find a perfect mix betwen Lorenna and Mariza from Portugal....

  • Long live Queen Lorren.

  • As músicas de Loreena Mcknnitt nos fazem viajar para um tempo, onde havia a magia no ar.

    Longa vida rainha Lorrena.

  • Is Caroline Lavelle on cello?

  • @lsb6785 yeah that's her, isn't she wonderful?? I adore her!!! Caroline and Loreena rock!!

  • calisto298....thank you very much for the feedback...I looked up the references you suggested and also did some exploring on my own. This is a very interesting instrument and I am now even more determined to acquire one.

  • thanks very much for your responses...it is very much appreciated

  • nádhera...

  • That little stringed instrument played with a bow on the gentleman's lap during the intro....can anyone tell me what it is??? I love it and must have one!

  • @robrobichaud @robrobichaud my friend, it is called "kemence" and played generally north part of turkey, region called "karadeniz" (black sea region). It can be played slowly and emotionally, like in this music (I prefer slow version), but in its home karadeniz it is played very fast, because of regions fast folk music. If you want to see fast version just search kemence and watch one of video. But if you want to see some good solo, search "ince saz- neveser longa"

  • @robrobichaud Tunisian Rebab

  • I agree...WONDERFUL music.This is music.

  • Just Perfection

  • I love this F#%*n music... it help me breath ,and think right.

  • Majesty, beauty, perfection!

  • "me gusta ella y el escenario","dos vellezas juntas

  • I love Loreena but I just adoreeeee Caroline Lavelle!!! she's always smiling and enjoying!! both angels!

  • How many posts have I seen as Loreena's music is shuffled around on YouTube? Too many to count and mine are also in there.

No matter where this woman's music winds up, she is one of the most gifted and talented artists on the face of the planet!

I am Canadian and this artist, woman, master musician makes me dammed proud to call myself just that!

  • @Tull29 im sorry but youre not Canadian as im not an aussie. WE ARE ALL HUMANS !

  • @lucabaracuda987- response received and understood! It's hard to find music and talent in this day and age that transcends race, religion, history and creed!

  • @Tull29 so glad you "got" what i meant, almost 95% of times when i say that i get a rude comment back :)

  • @lucabaracuda987 - those people are called "trolls" in YouTube terms and should be ignored and flagged for spam. The trick is to filter through it and respond to intelligent and insightful comments in kind and ignore the "trolls".

Thank you for your kind response, Tull

  • I seen her concert in 2007 for the first time since the first time I heard her music..Bonney Portmore from the Highlander 1 movie in 1986. Best thing was it was right here in my hometown Saint John, NB Canada. She was awesome as I dreamed it to been all these years.. would have loved to met her in person autographing.

  • Can you anyone tell me what the small stringed instrument it is called that the guy with the glasses is playing with bow?

  • @spiffytiffy05 A Byzantine origined instrument. Early times has 2 strings. Later developed and shaped to last figure by Turks in Ottoman era with 3 strings. This instrument calls "klasik kemençe" (kemençe means some kind of fiddle), "Osmanlı kemençesi" or "İstanbul kemençesi" in Turkish.

  • this is incredible, the sound of an spirtual celtic angel singing.

  • 0 people misunderstand the meaning of music.

  • I'm sorry people but THIS is true music, true work of art.

  • The difference between music to hear....and music to listen to. :o)

  • БРАВО !!!

  • The best live I've ever seen! Even the musicians are great!!!

  • przepiekne!lory stala sie moja muza.

  • She brings back the ancient memories burried with in me, her music touches the heart of the Celt, the heart of ancient times and spirit. She is a Celtic Princess, inspiring the calling deep within us to rise again. This is a call of Mother Earth of ancient spirits to remeber them to rejoice in them and to come back home.

  • Amazing voice

  • guapa¡¡¡ que te pareces mucho a mi ;)))

  • Gorgeous, as is the cello player <3

  • She is simply flawless. Amazing and beautiful. What talent.

  • Lindooooooooo

  • You can have your "This is Halloween", but this is the real theme song for halloween.

  • I love this artist and her unbelievable music.

  • My SOUL is so happy right now. I wish he could talk to tell you how i feel cause i don't have words to describe it.

  • 2:25 The Green Knight holds the holly bush to mark where the old year passes by.

I wish they would do this song, and a lot others, to a well produced music video. I can visualize that Green Night holding the holly bush in his suit of armor.

  • @sanfranciscobay

it's a beautiful visual, isn't it? The mythic Green Man of the forrest.

  • This should be required listening for the youth in High School. Give them a chance to hear what real music is, so they have something to compare to the trash that is popular to their age group.

  • @sanfranciscobay couldn't agree more.

  • and yes - she has incredible ORCHESTRA :-)))

  • IT'S GEORGEOUS!!!! <3

  • I had the privilege of seeing her live, 8th row, in Irving, Texas. Storytelling, her voice, and the PERFORMERS playing those exotic instruments and playing them like they were born doing it.

  • she got a uncreible orchesta.

  • @White63Wolf
