  • How do i add two bulletpoints in the same line?

  • @DominatorUK - you should never add 2 bullets to the same line. Bullets are individual points so 2 on the same line is counter-intuitive. The exception is displaying bullets in two columns. There are 3 ways to achieve this:

    1) Create 2 text boxes, left & right, then bullet each column.

    2) Create a text box for EACH bullet point. You control the order

    3) Create a text box then click on Home/Paragraph/Columns button & select ‘2’. I don’t use this as it's hard to control the column breaks.

  • It's worth remembering what bullet and numbering is for. Their function is to display points on a list - nothing else. The difference is numbering is for lists that need to be in a specific order, whereas bullets are for unordered lists, where points may be in a general or unordered arrangement

  • Or you could just go to Page Layout and put the indent there instead of doing all this.

    ∞ times easier

  • If you have a split line (i.e. "Name:" and "John Smith") pressing the indent button will move both parts across the page. pressing the Tab key at the start of the second part ("John") will line it up part-way across the page but leave the first part ("Name:") at the left hand margin.

Additionally, pressing the Tab key is much, much faster than removing a hand from the keyboard, using the mouse then moving that hand back to the keyboard.

  • when you're re-doing these, how about some voice on these rather than the text commentary which can be difficult to follow

  • Point taken - we're redesigning these videos for Office 2010 and will be adding a commentary track. One of the reasons we didn't originally was because our users may require quick help and may not have access to earphones.

  • thanks you saved me

  • What about spacing

  • What kind of spacing do you mean? Across the line (justification) or vertical (paragraph) spacing?

These videos are in the [rpcess of being re-developed and we can add any new ideas in easily, so any thoughts are welcome.
