  • Got this car cause it was all I could afford....LOVE IT!

  • I'm not a fan of the fabric pattern on the seats, it's a little tacky. Aside from that it looks like a nice car.

  • you said "Hondai" like you wanted to say honda but forgot you were reviewing a hyundai...

  • @Kendel1224,

You mean *Hyundai and *Honda :D

  • The Hatch SE drove worse than the Fiesta, which imo is the best driver's car for the segment...the interior is all plastic where as the Fiesta has soft touch meaning less rattles....the fiesta is smaller and the Fit still wins for storage but add a few things to the Accent Hatch and you're right at Elantra pricing which is just a better, bigger car, combine that with the Veloster and you really shouldn't consider this unless you get the under-17k version

  • At least Hyundai is offering a strip down version for the Accent for people to choose.

  • Who the hell would give up a stereo in a car? Talk about boring...

  • does anyone think we will get more equipment leather seats sunroof side mirror blinkers for the 2013 year model

  • These so called sub-compacts are the same size of compact cars from 10 years ago.

  • HONDAI

  • @ProtegeTuype Hyunda Civic and the all new Hondai Accent... mixed up! :D

  • dude the versa is the best in class biggest back seat also

  • hondai accent? wtf dave..your retarted

  • @davewhodavedunn

    "retarted"?

    Well done.

  • "i think its called a key" i laughed

  • funny all these negative comments from people that never drove a hyundai. while everyone i know that has had one, including me, are very happy with them. i like this car, its styling is way better than the new civic and corrolla, both bland. go try and buy a civic for 16 grand and see what you get.

  • @shafta99 The Civic is not in the same class as the Accent it's larger, the Fit is. However i do agree with you about the people making negative comments just because it's a Hyundai, i love the new Elantra.

  • Music of the way /watch?v=EI8ns_aBtzM

  • It's pronounced HUN DAY not HON DAY. How can you people call yourself auto journalists.

  • This guy needs a better accent, his voice is boring

  • All clicked on this video for is to say YYYUUUKKK!!!

  • A boring reviewer for a boring car. All of Hyundai's sedans look the same.

  • @koltenk17 thats a good thing because hyundais are awesome looking

  • @yummy1234098 that's something I thought I'd never see, "Hyundai" and "Awsome" in the same sentence.

  • @StuinthaHouse weeeeell ya just did :p

  • @yummy1234098 It's unoriginal. But that's the epitome of Hyundai, I guess.

  • @koltenk17 how can u call a hyundai's own corprate design unoriginal?! look at it no other car looks like it, yes it may look close to its siblings but hell, ITS THE COMPANIES DESIGN LANGUAGE!! all BMWs look the same!

  • @yummy1234098 lol. you have to be kidding me. the genesis? Lexus LS, MB S-Class, and Acura RL. The Sonata? Volkswagen CC and MB CLS-Class and a little Audi S4. The Elantra and Accent look the exact same as the Sonata.

  • @koltenk17 im not quite sure you just rattled off random car names but so basically you are saying that two cars that look that same means that all the cars look the same? hyundai isnt the only one to make relative cars i.e. 2004 ford expedition and 2004 ford explorer 2011 camry 2011 corolla 2011 bmw 5 2011 bmw 7 MB GL MB GLK need i say more!

  • Cars.com continues to mention price hikes of Korean cars as if they expect Hyundais and Kias to sell $9999.00 cars forever. But the pricing decision isn't all from Korean car makers but also from US government devaluing dollar. US dollar is worth less than Canadian dollars now. So Cars.com, learn some basics to trades and currency fluctuatons please.

  • IT'S. NOT. HONDAI!

  • According to Hyundai's website, in the US, the Accent starts at $14,195 and includes a/c, power windows and mirrors, and a 172 watt FM/XM stereo/CD and MP3 player with ipod connectivity. There is no $13,000 stripper available on the configurator.

  • '''

  • I just can't stand CARS.COM anymore. It is really BOOORING!

    Sorry but I'm unsubscribing!

  • @kiasucksPERIOD

cause their initial quality is good but long term...... not so much

  • @Slayer553826 Take another look at the data. The long-term durability and reliability has matched that of Honda and Toyota for nearly a decade and the increasing resale values show witness to that fact. I've got 111,000+ miles on my 2007 having only the brake light switch at the pedal fail (replaced by Hyundai, no charge) and my neighbor has 255,000 on her 2005 Hyundai having only replaced the fuel pump two years ago. They are both good examples of today's Hyundai.

  • @ghrpdx yea.. their powertrains are fine but how do their interiors hold up? that effect the resale a lot too, how easily does the paint chip? is there any starting rust? interior panels scratch resistant/ are they warping? these all play a role, not just the engines. There's a reason why their resale is lower than others, it may be rising but that doesn't mean its high.

on a side note, 255,000 on an 05? that neighbor does some serious driving that's averaging over 115 miles a day for 6 years!

  • @Slayer553826 My neighbor drives more than 115 miles/day ... she takes a day off. She sold her '05 Elantra and got an '11 Accent because of good prior experience w/her Elantra. She detailed the car inside/out and it looked like new with minor wear. As for my '07 with 111,000 miles, it looks absolutely new in/out except for rock chips (no rust) on the hood from highway driving. The seats show no wear but I did replace the pad on the brake pedal because the rubber wore through on the edge.

  • @ghrpdx *sigh* then you need to just let go of your bias because their resale value is still lower than others for a reason and thats the truth

  • @Slayer553826 I'm not biased because I own one. There is nothing incorrect in my original statement. I didn't say the resale value was as high as the others. Please go back and read my statement again. I said the durability and reliability has matched that of Honda and Toyota for nearly a decade and the "increasing resale values" show witness to that fact. So, as you see, you are biased against Hyundai and therefore you didn't comprehend what was actually written.

  • Hi, I'm Dave Thomas with Cars.com and this a 2012 HONDai Accent...

  • This cars look is already old! Even all of the Hyundai line looks old!

  • Good review, but why does he keep saying "Honda Fit Honda Fit" there are other cars as well besides that one and the Fiesta. In fact, the new Nissan Versa has the biggest rear interior room, he should have mentioned it insted of the Fit.

  • Its a decent car, ill give it that. A far cry from the Excel it replaced. But as far as real world goes... anyone 5'10" is gonna look big in that thing esp w the drivers seat moved fwd. Put my 6'2" frame in that seat and then get in back again... hate the image trickery reviewers give for interior space.

  • Hon-day? HUN-DAY, like Sunday.

  • This..... Or the Dodge Caliber replacement for 2012? So hard..

  • I'd just go with the new Nissan Versa. Its Bigger and starts at 10,995. Nissans are MORE reliable, and its the cheapest car in america!

  • @lamdo23tech

Actually , I've read several reliability articles recently , and Hyundai has come out on top of Nissan (from a Consumer Reports 2009 vehicle reliability article). Also , I test drove the new Versa a few weeks ago. You can't get a driver's armrest on ANY of the models. To get the 60/40 split fold down rear seatback , you have to buy the top of the line Versa , which starts at $15,560 -- a far cry from the base 10,995. Even the salesman was surprised about these facts.

  • I'd just save up longer and get a Veloster. According to Hyundai's website the Accent "starts" at $14,995 after destination charge. the Veloster 6 speed is only a few grand more at that point. work harder. get the Veloster.

  • These compact cars just don't look right in sedan form. They are all way too narrow for they length and just look disproportional. If I was to get one of these cars, I would go for the hatchback.

  • No keyless entry?!

  • this guy's voice is so boring

  • Just wait until the Kia Rio comes out. Same platform but way cooler looking. Especially the 5 door.

  • You have to use the key to start the car too... I kinda like the Accent. Seems like a great option over the last generation.

  • This is my dream car right here! Korean bentley!

  • @tres311 hahahahaha like the sarcasm

  • I kinda can't wait for the Sonic to come out and how it stakes up to the competition. I think it'l do very well even compared the accent.

  • I have to say, Versa is a much larger car. But larger doesn't mean better.

  • Why does this guy reviewing it not have an accent?

  • @theonlylolking that was probably the stupidist thing soomeone has said this year on youtube

  • @solarlightning It was supposed to be stupid.

  • @theonlylolking i know lol
