well thats be my delusional understanding of history. I agree that in ancient times there were people with different believes but the thing that united them was Vedas and Upanishads. And I agree that in real there is no religion Hindu. Its just a name for the group of people lived next to the Indus valley. As the Hindus are the followers of Vedas the correct name for us is Vedanti. So you have to accept the fact that all the people living in India are Hindus and they were vedanties before.

I really don't know about muslims leaving india .. as of today india has the second largest muslim population at 160 million, the only two muslim billionaires are from india, the most celebrated actor and scientist and musican in india is a muslim (Shah rukh khan , Abdul Kalam, AR Rehman ) . In india there about 160 million muslims, 40 million cahtolics, 30 million sikhs .. there are few countries in Asia that can boast of a similar diversity.

well thats be my delusional understanding of history. I agree that in ancient times there were people with different believes but the thing that united them was Vedas and Upanishads. And I agree that in real there is no religion Hindu. Its just a name for the group of people lived next to the Indus valley. As the Hindus are the followers of Vedas the correct name for us is Vedanti. So you have to accept the fact that all the people living in India are Hindus and they were vedanties before.

majority of Hindus dont read their scriptures because of the heirarchy of castes.. the Brahmins are the historical keepers of the texts.. all others are at their mercy.. In Islam there is no such discrimination, anyone can pick up a copy of Qur'an and read its teachings on his own.. simply making ignorant claims as 'Islam really controls its people & that there are no free-thinking Muslims' doesnt make 'em true and is quite pointless given ur ignorance on the subject

Hinduism does divide its people into caste ..and it is the oldest religion... but Hindus again rarely take to studying thier religion.. this makes them more productive members of society . In america Indians as a community have the highest per-capita earnings, much more than every other group .

i must say that at times the muslims are difficult .. they really hold up to thier religion .. unwilling to budge ... they hold they are muslims first ... . In todays world .. such beliefs are un workable .. hindusim .. is not even really a religion but a way of life it does not enforce beliefs on its citizens ... it is a much more tolerant .. saying this i hope the muslims in india change thier ways and become more liberal in thier thinking .

MK Gandhi negotiated w/ British b4 WWI for them to leave after war if Indians help- didn't work.
Same w/ WWII- Bose found British untrustworthy so he thought of choosing lesser of the two evils. After war, British had too many casualities to hang on to a powerful colony so left by dividing India, future seed for war and strife- its working so well.
British elite r very clever but not necessarily wise, they learned bitter lessons from Romans and Saxons & gave same gifts to its colonies !
